Black-eyed Pea

It's great to see this place hanging on. As a kid I loved the chain, and when the chain went bust this was one of a few that remained. Whenever I'm out in Arlington I try to stop in.
Best started rolls, cornbread on the sweet side (I'm a hummingbird, won't lie).
Chicken fried steak is usually my go-to.

Went to eat here since I was in the area and it's been years I've eaten at a Black Eyed Pea. Is this the last one standing? Anyways, it was Tuesday March 15th around 3pm. We were seated right away and the only server they had on (Hispanic male) was rocking all the tables. He was on the run but keeping up with everyone. The rolls and cornbread were good and the food was how I remembered it. I miss these restaurants. Service was great. Kudos to the kitchen as well. I'm sure they're short staffed too.

WOW! I would like this to be my go to place to eat.. But, it's over 300 miles from from home 🏡.
The staff were the best I've seen, very friendly and very professional in their jobs. I also understand that this is only restaurant they have. Great place and even Greater Food. Thanks!
