Small camp, but great trails!
Great doctors, made a farm call for coggins and vaccines. They were very professional.
Burleson Equine Hospital is great. We've used them for everything from Coggins and health papers to emergency colic visits. Our most recent visit was an emergency Sunday colic visit and the vet on call and vet tech met me there in less than 30 minutes. They had the horse diagnosed, they explained the problem with pictures and explained the treatment process. The gave me an estimate and started treatment immediately. They came in at the low end on the estimate and the horse is doing great. I have total confidence in this team.
Been going here for over 7 plus years. Always a good place for scouting and easy to get too.
A nice, hidden gem of a Boy Scout camp. It's a small camp, but it's great since it's right in Denton. Hills and Hallows is mostly used for Cub scouts and summer day camps in the Longhorn Council.
The camp has lots of trees and nice rolling hills and is quiet and peaceful despite its proximity to a large city. The property is overrun by Chinese privet which is kind of pretty, but is an invasive species that is totally chocking out native trees.
Unless I'm mistaken, the camp is BSA only, so no public camping allowed.
Nice pavillion with good ventilation in summer, fireplace for winter. Good weather campsites. Not good in rainy weather due poor drainage causing large muddy areas and water puddles in campsites, roads, parking lots and pavillion perimeter .
Great scout camp! Compact and has everything you need. My venture crew teaches a CPR/AED and wilderness and remote first aid class there a few times a year - it's a great place for that and all your camping activities.
