Dr. Kevin James

Dr. James gave me my life back. I was in such bad shape when I got to him and was absolutely miserable everyday. Dr. James truly cares. He explained everything to me, was patient with all my questions, and was sympathetic to me and the condition I was in when I got to him. Dr. James performed a 3 level fusion on my lower back. He took his time in surgery and the after care has been phenomenal. Nathan and the rest of the staff are just as caring and patient. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. James, Nathan, and the rest of the staff. They have seen me at some of my lowest points and are so compassionate. I’m still recovering but I’m so thankful that I’m in their care. I travel 2 hours to see him and it’s worth every mile and minute on the road. They’re the absolute best.

Dr James saved my life. I am lucky to have found him. I have tears writing this. I was in horrible pain. A pain like I have never experienced before in my near 50 years of life on this Earth. Nerve pain can take your very breath and cause you to hate living. I had physical therapy and injection to my c6 and c7 that had bulging into the spinal cord hitting the right nerve. My arm, all the way to the fingers was on FIRE 200% of the time. I had gone 19 days not able to sleep, screaming out in pain all day.
My first visit with Dr James we reviewed the MRI and he wasted no time getting surgery requested with my insurance. I can say this pain in unexplainable horrible. Zero quality of life and inhumane to suffer with.
I was told that even under sedation, I was still rawling in pain unable to settle.
After surgery, I woke up and started to cry. I could breath. The pain was gone. I am 11 days post opt and not taking any pain killers. I feel like I could hit the ground running after surgery. The PA told me to pump the brakes and slow down. This surgery is a slow healing process. So I will wear the cone and follow Doctor's instructions. I never want to hurt like that ever again. I still have numbness, but hopefully that will improve as I continue to recover. I feel like Dr James gave me my life back. As a volunteer, festering rescues, mom of teens, wife, full time banker, concert cellist, and finishing my undergraduates, I have Zero time to ever hurt like that again. Ever.
Gives you a new look on life once you feel like you got it back.

So thankful to have found Dr. James!! His demeanor and patience to explain to me in terms I understand was very helpful. He took his time to answer all of my questions. The staff there are very friendly. DO not hesitate to go see Dr. James if you are in pain or need help with your back problems.
