“The EMT team from Austin Fire Station 43 were absolute superstars taking care of me last week. They arrived promptly and quickly realized there was no way to get their stretcher down our narrow hall. I had reopened a knee replacement surgical site in a fall and there was no way I could walk or hobble my way out of my Office day bed without spilling lots more blood. They quickly turned my Aeron chair into a temporary mobility device and got me to the stretcher. Once in the ambulance they quickly addressed my pain level and cheerfully listened while I babbled about anything to keep my mind off the pain. We are lucky to have such skilled and really nice men and women serving our area. The only issue was going to the Seton Southwest ER...but that particular nightmare was our fault. I promise to bring brownies and some healthy treats br the station once I am mobile again! Also..Jessica I tried to send an email..but it keeps bouncing. Can you find me on LinkedIn?
