“I took the Six Sigma Greenbelt training with SixSigma.us (instructor Marc Block) in December 2019. Overall, a very worthwhile course and taught well by the instructor. For those not familiar with Six Sigma, I would say that it is a formalized method of applying the famous 80/20 rule. By now, I think most people are familiar with the 80/20 rule, but the question in my mind has always been…How do we know what the “vital few” actually are? Six Sigma provides a methodology and set of tools that allow you to zero in on and identify exactly what those vital few are. To me, that was the real benefit of the training. To summarize, I thought the course was solid and was well taught. I definitely walked away with a set of new tools in my toolbox. One final note: It definitely helps to have some familiarity with basic statistics (standard deviation, correlation, etc.) since the Green Belt course uses these concepts and moves along at a clip. So at the very least, make sure the people you send to the green belt course are enthusiastic about using data and want to be there. Strong recommend.”
