“My kids love attending Altamira Academy and the staff is very nice and attentive to all kids. Knowing my kids look forward to going school every morning (but hate waking up early lol) gives me peace of mind that my kids are taken care of at school and I have nothing to worry about. And a big thank you to all the staffs members helping to open the car doors every day, rain or cold they are definitely dedicated to the school and kids. Thank you Altamira!!”

“@Mary Jane - It breaks my heart to read your post. I'm from the class of 2000 - the 1st class to go all the way through Connally from grade 9 to grade 12. So...my first day at Connally was EVERYONE'S first day at Connally because we were its first students...ever! :-) Actually, all 4 years that I attended CHS they were still building onto it. The staff, administration, teachers AND students all loved our new school (it was SO shiny and new)! We all took pride in it and babies it because we were all about "setting traditions." That is what we all tried to do...together! We knew that we were making decisions for generations to come so we thought really hard about them and took great pride in that. My years as a student at CHS were amazing...the best four years of my life! The teachers were awesome! Each grade level had its own principle and we all loved ours!!!! -Mr. Littlefield. During Saturday detentions he had the student out cleaning up campus. I just look back and wonder if there is anything we could have done different to better pass the torch. Is there some way we could have shown the incoming class what an awesome gift we were giving them...one the would have loved, been proud to be a part of and babied like we did. Of course there will always be students who don't share the enthusiasm and maybe even do things to sabotage the hard work of others. But they are a select few who are greatly outnumbered. I just know that feeling when that new car smell is gone and I hate that that is what our beautiful Connally High School smells like now. Such a shame that the leaders we had while I was there were not able to stay longer to rally you all like they did us. I understand, especially now that I'm an adult, that there are a lot more pressing matters in a teenagers life than a little graffiti here or there, or that they have better things...more fun things to do than try and make something that's seems so far gone like the school better and great again...especially when you all didn't get to see CHS in her glory days. Just know that a little elbow grease, some school spirit and a nice dose of Big Ol' Texas pride can make what is old new again. The luster, the color being a little brighter, the sense of unity that can become real between two separate groups when working towards the same goal, even the warm tinglies in your gut when you're when you start to make real progress...those things will come on their own. But only you...1 single human being can start a movement. So I hope you can believe that what seems impossible can easily be achieved...if you take a stand. Every movement begins with one person making the decision to act choosing to just talk. Will that person be you? I'll tell you what I know is absolutely certain no matter what: after this is real life...and it's NOTHING like what you see on TV. Making your mark among your peers, your community, your nation, your world...that all starts now...right where you are. So I say, why not set yourself apart now. Why not use the stars that twinkle in your young innocent eyes, your unjaded perseverance and hormone fueled confidence to do something great. Something for yourself, for your fellow student, for your baby brother when he gets there, for generations to come after you...maybe even a little for me ;-) You are about to venture out into unknown territory unsupervised and completely responsible for yourself and what you become. Set the tone. Set yourself up for success in life and maybe even surprise yourself a little when you see what your actually capable of...greatness. God bless and best wishes to you. I only want what was amazing to me to be amazing for you. Oh and BTW...your Mom IS right ;) Shannon M. Gunckel CHS Class of 2000 GO COUGARS!!!”

“WonderWell preschool deserves way more than five stars. If you are looking for a Reggio Preschool where your child will have zest for life, love, joy, confidence, kindness, and a love for learning daily, this is the place. We have been attending WonderWell for over a year, and it has truly been one of the best decisions we have made as parents. I have watched my child develop in the most exceptional ways since beggining at WonderWell. If you ask him directly what he thinks of his school, he would tell you "WonderWell is a very special place filled with kindness" and I could not agree more. Every aspect of the school, the curriculum, the staff, and the building itself, has been intentionally and purposefully thought out, and hand picked to engage children throughout their learning experience. Each and every staff member at WonderWell is an exceptional person and leader in early childhood education. The entire staff from the top down, The Director and owner of the school, to the teachers, to the security team, they are each hand picked, and bring a special light and joy to the school. I do not write reviews, in fact this is my first time ever doing so. I am compelled to share our experience because this school has been such an incredible blessing to our life. The exceptional group of educators, school community, the parent friends we have made, and the incredible KIND group of children that my child now is friends with, I am forever grateful for this very special school. I only wish we would have enrolled my child sooner.”

“I'm so happy! I commend your city, school principals and their staff. We need more schools like yours that are so Positive and supportive of your students' health and team spirit. There are so many learning opportunities to teach our children how important community and sports can be. I congratulate you!, Because I heard about the new "One-wall Handball" court that was added to your playground. You may have already heard,... in the world of WallBall aka One-wall Handball, this is Historic event in Texas. This news will by end of day, if not already, have been seen, read about, hugged about, tears of happiness will be shed, for the children of Texas, ... this news will reach our Biggest Leaders and supports in Belgium, Ireland, Spain, all of the U.S. to say the least. Congratulations!!”

“Great piano class. My son is in the class for 4-5 years old toddlers. The class design is very suitable for his age. I have asked my son several times whether he likes his piano class teacher, Mindy, and he always says yes! I believe that he has lots of fun and really enjoys his piano class. I highly recommend Mindy Rawlinson Piano Studio for parents who are looking for a piano class for their toddler.”

“Yes, she does yoga. Yes, she does massage. But to reduce a person like Nikkole to those things is doing yourself a disservice. She is a healer and a connected soul. She is a village elder and a kind soul. Go to her!”

“I came to Steve as an absolute beginner trying to learn acoustic guitar. Throughout the course of a few lessons, he taught me the building blocks I needed to accelerate my learning and, more importantly, my playing. He's extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the guitar, as well as music theory and music in general, and he's an excellent teacher. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to learn to play guitar.”

“A great school It's decent, and has a really good extracurricular program It's better than most of the other schools around (hendrickson is decent, hutto is filled with petty fights, and florida's schools are the worst). So if you want your child to do fairly well and not drag them down to utter trash, pick this school Ciao (Butyouhavetoberichtobeacceptedxd Alsostopcallingmesoberanuskthx)”

“Ryan Kelly My Review of McNeil High school My experience at McNeil high school was a great experience until 1 event occurred my senior year. This all happened when, the man, the myth, the legend John Yonker left McNeil for a better paying job. Mr. Yonker leaving caused wars to break out and a complete rebellion and civil war from the teachers in a hungry thirst for the power of the McNeil throne. McNeil split up into 2 major factions at the start of the war. The B wing C wing and athletics formed an alliance that we called the McNeil Union. The A wing, D wing and band formed the southern McNeil confederate alliance. Other teachers not in either alliance were used as mercenaries and supply posts for the union and confederate. A raging battle of flying pencils, instruments, and footballs broke out through all the halls. Early in the War the Union was able to break through the confederate lines and take control of the cafeteria, limiting confederate rations to almost nothing. The confederate struck back by taking control of the bus lanes and exits to Mcneil. The McNeil union was led by a brilliant commander named Coach Glenn Roberts and his top 2 generals were Generals Chris Cotten and General Emily Jensen. The Mcneil Confederate alliance was led by Commander Walter Lee, and his 2 generals were Ancelet and Dimiceli. The war finally came to an end when general Glenn Roberts of the McNeil Union sent a guerrilla squad out to be commander Walter Lee's classroom was. The guerrillas held a permanent marker up to his tie and forced him to surrender. The war was fought for a tiring 4 months, and many grades and GPA's were lost throughout the war. The legend of the great McNeil civil war will be told and retold for generations to come. OVERALL RATING: 4/5”
