“After two negative experiences at two other child care centers, we were ready to give up and search for a nanny. Then, we heard about Bluebonnet of Canyon Creek. Their reputation was that they had very qualified teachers with low teacher:child ratios. This allowed them to follow a set curriculum, but execute it through fun and play, so that each child can learn in the way that works best for him or her. This has been an amazing experience for us. Liz, the head of school is incredibly professional, and we have not yet met a teacher that didn't impress us. They show our boys love, a lot of one-on-one attention, and a very positive environment to learn in. Each week, we receive an email with the boys' weekly learning plan so we can see what they are learning. Our oldest is in Kindergarten, so they follow the curriculum of the school district. I am confident that he is learning far more than he would be in a normal school setting. This school is truly a prep school but with the bonus of extra love and attention. We feel so thankful that we found Bluebonnet of Canyon Creek!!”

“I actually had a good experience here...though not every professor was equally prepared which often threw off their presentation, I would offer that if you do your part (read & complete assignments) you will take away what you need to be successful in your field and at your craft. My biggest complaint here was the group requirements as it is often difficult to make other people step up when they are accustomed to submitting sub par assignments. The issue here is that others must carry them or the grade for the group is effected. I believe the reasoning is so that students learn how to work with other people making you more adjusted to the workforce. However, the type of work asked of you in class and in the work field is usually quite different. Though i understand the reasoning it might not be appropriate for students with a different learning style. It has been my experience that every institution of learning has their own dogma and/or belief(s) behind the way they do business or reasoning for structuring things a certain way, this is why you should do your research before entering any school to make sure it is a fit. Nevertheless, the bottom line is (in most situations) that you get out what you put in.”

“My son attended Canyon Creek Preschool for three years and my daughter is about to complete her second year. We have had an overwhelmingly positive experience at the school. The teachers and staff are so kind and caring - you can tell they truly love working with children. The director, Natalie, is approachable and has always made an effort to address my concerns, big or small. There is very low turnover from year to year, which says a lot about the environment. Best of all, my kids love going to school!”

“The associate Alonzo made my experience at Verizon wonderful. He gave me a preview and walkthrough of the phone I wanted, then let me know about a promotion that is available for me and my circumstances. It was a swift purchase, Alonzo was very knowledgeable and also assisted me with purchasing the best accessories for my new phone to prevent it from cracking again. Thank you, Alonzo, for providing the best customer experience thus far.”

“I'll admit, I was a bit unsure about sending my 3 year old and 9 month old to Promiseland Learning Center, but I have to say I've been pleasantly satisfied with them in the last 3 months our kids have been there. Everyday when I pick up my kids from a long day of school, they are happy. I can tell that they've had fun and are well taken care of. Ms. Caren (director) and Ms. Sal (assistant director) are just amazing! They go above and beyond to make sure mine and my kid's needs are met. Recently, my daughter had an allergic reaction while she was at school and they handled the situation per protocol and to my satisfaction. They showed a lot of concern and support for finding the root cause of her reaction and have proactively revisited their policies to make the school safer for my child and others. I am very pleased with the management of the daycare. All the teachers and floaters have also demonstrated great care for my kids and are loving towards them. They are respectful of my requests and provide good communication on my children's care. Pros: Great staff/management, clean facility, kids are happy there, very reasonable rates with discounts Cons: Teacher turnover high, ratio too high - 15 students to 1 teacher for 3 year old class, Learning topics will vary based on what teacher you get”

“My son started at Bright Horizons Oak Hill when he was 9 months old, and he loves it there. His teachers in infant and toddler have been really happy to see him and he gets sad when he has to leave to go home. The food is more diverse than want we typically serve at home and he eats most of what he's been fed. He has been getting sick once a month, but from what I've heard that happens at most daycares. He his also a bit behind on his developmental milestones, but that's probably a function of how he interacts with us at home just as much as at daycare. We were initially concerned that Bright Horizons is a publicly traded company and it would be like factory care, but it has actually been a positive in having access to parenting resources, food, and events that are more easily available than in smaller daycares. Only downside in my mind is that BH was more expensive than the other 4-5 daycares we were considering in the area, but you do hopefully get what you pay for!”

“Having our daughter enrolled in Kids R Kids Mableton has been the best decision for our family. We decided to do so after speaking with a few families who have their children enrolled there as well. We are beyond satisfied with the staff. They are welcoming and keep us informed. The curriculum they use is what we feel is best for our daughter and most importantly she loves going to school .”

“The food is excellent. I loved the eggplant stew and the ice cream. The hot tea was also very unique. The decoration is very cultural as well. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Austin. My second time in Austin and had a take out in this place. I was very pleased about how they handled cleanliness and protection.”

“I went here the first year it opened. Yes I'm that old! I was the beginning class that voted for the mascot and colors! Wonderful memories. Mrs. Masch was my favorite teacher in 5th grade. Now my child is starting school here and loves his teacher, Rosie Patel. Friendly, professional and great with my son. I'm am proud to still be a part of the Boone family years later.”

“gfire is fun, engaging and dedicated piano, voice and guitar teacher who tailors her lessons to your interests. Our girls have taken with her for four years and LOVE going! She’s given great (and successful!) support through fine arts and musical auditions - and most importantly she’s really cultivated their love and knowledge of music. I highly recommend gfire!”

“Our daughter is halfway through her second year at this school and her knowledge of the French language is very impressive. She loves going to school here and hates it when she is absent. We did not have any prior knowledge of the French language, but now she can hold a conversation in French and sometimes we hear her playing with her dolls using French. She also likes to watch Disney movies in French. Additionally, Spanish is offered at the school as a third language. You could also opt for Arabic or Mandarin as the third language. We didn't pick this school because it was primarily a French school. We picked this school because foreign languages are important to us and we felt very comfortable with the learning environment at this school. (The students routinely win national awards in Math and French) It is easy to see that this is a labor of love for the people who work here. I love that the English teacher has an undergraduate degree in English and a Master degree in rhetoric and writing instead of the typical early education degree. I love that the cello teacher has a PhD and has played in a symphony. I could go on and on with all the good things about this school. I cannot think of anything bad to say. We consider ourselves lucky to have found this school and the people that run it. I work for the State of Texas and I wouldn't allow my child to go to this school if anything was amiss. So again, great school and staff.”

“Academically this school excels and the staff are dedicated to the students. If you look at the TEA website and compare results you will find this Title I school is one of the best, even compared to a non-Title I campus. Parent involvement could be better and staff could be more friendly (very few who are). Over all my children are very knowledgeable in all areas and I feel confident that they will be prepared for middle school.”

“YunXiang is an amazing teacher! She worked so well with my 7 year old. She also let me know to make sure my piano was tuned before letting her play, otherwise it could make her go tone def. This was such great advice and I made sure not to let her play until it was tuned. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“My son Lucas has been going to Stepping Stone since he was 6 months old and he is currently 3. When we first started, i loved it. We've had our ups and down's with the location. The principle Jessica and staff were great, no turnovers and everyone seemed happy. Than another int-rem principle came and it was terrible. Now, there is a great principle, Jeanette that took over and she is amazing. My son is currently in Quasars with Ms. Kathy who is phenomenal. it is mainly because of her that my son is potty trained. Her disciple and dedication to the children is amazing. Both my husband and I are so happy with her mannerism & attention to detail. My only concern is that I feel like these classrooms (starting at 3 +) should have (2) teachers only because they are at an age where they need constant attention and with only (1) teacher, that can be difficult.”
