This is a wonderful County park with so many options for hiking, biking, picnicking and going down by the Pedernales River. Dogs are allowed on leash. The paths off the first Pavilion to the left are flat and look to be ADA accessible. Which also means great for strollers. They are protected by a rock wall and you can look over in some areas for a beautiful view of the river. The river can be accessed at the next pavilion. If you have a handicap parking card, you can actually drive down a wide paved path and park down near the river. You can go down there to unload too, but you must drive back up to the main parking area. The beach is flat and the water is clear so this is a great place for kids. The fee is $5.00 per person and sadly, they only take cash. This is the only complaint because who carries cash anymore? We had to drive 9 miles in the opposite direction to find an atm. But other than that, I highly recommend this park. On a sunny day though it will be HOT so if you have kids go on a cloudy day. The pavilions are shaded but the paths near the river are not.
Went to see Hamilton Pool and they wouldn't let us in because we didn't have a reservation so ended up here and loved it! Beautiful piece of God's country!
The pla e was empty on this weekday! Nice place to chill. Watch out for algae in water though.
Nice place to go walking on the sand. Beautiful leaves changing for fall season, water super clear..
Secluded, serene..mountain bike trails/courses, rock climbing areas! Truly a hidden gem. Extremely clean.
