“Super sad. There is no more jumping into the water for swimming at this greenbelt. The rains have helped but gone are the days of jumping off this bridge. Still worth the trail. Super green. Beautiful surroundings.”

“Excellent, and challenging disc golf course. Bring a retrieving pole, it’ll be a life saver. It’s a very wooded course, with lots of narrow runs. It’ll force you to focus, and not just power through tees.”

“Great neighborhood pool. Spacious parking, lots of trees to find shade and all the kids are hilarious. Seems like Austin could pad this lifeguard shortage from Northwest - the guards are a wee bit uptight imo. Anyhoo covers all swim types - you got your deep end, your lap pool, your open space pool and your kiddie pool. Nice family spot for sure.”

“Summary: Nice boat ramp, great picnic areas. No camping :( Details: Our visit was in late Feb and while it was warm it was also very windy. Park host was extremely nice and the overall condition of the park was grade A. - one star for less than great water access if you don't bring a boat”

“Great park with access to lake Travis. 8$ per person isn't bad at all and it allowed you to re enter and as well as entry to other Travis county parks. Yes it is clothing optional so keep that in mind. Gets deep pretty quickly but I still managed to find a spot near stairs 1 that was shallow enough for me to hang around all day.”

“This location is incredible. I definitely spent more than I wanted to and I'm definitely glad that I did! Never mind shopping at Lowe's or Home Depot for pottery if you do you're just plain crazy! Stuff that they have here is handmade and absolutely gorgeous. Many different types of pottery yard art you name it. Inside the small building they have lovely classic Mexican items of the highest quality. Next paycheck I'm going back for some more pottery!”

“I gave it a 4-star for it's beauty and ruggedness. This is NOT a hiking preserve. It is densely forested, rugged, steep, terrain, with lots of tree fall and overgrowth. That being said, if you are looking for an area to explore that gets little foot traffic, and you're willing to trailblaze, hit this place up. I'd recommend coming in off the Long Point Dr. entrance and head down the hillside. It's going to be tough sledding but there's a cliff face you can follow above the creek. As another review noted, be wary of coyotes. The morning I went there was a fresh kill, from the size of the remaining carcass, guessing a deer. Which I saw 5-6 who had no fear of me. It's a wild preserve, don't go solo, honestly, it's just too rugged and chances of injury are good. That being said, it's really pretty and have lots of birds. Only saw a little green snake, but the amount of leaf litter, I'd keep an eye out for copperheads.”

“We were in Austin to visit our son and to enjoy the town. This is one of the nicest and cleanest KOA campgrounds that we’ve stayed at. Very neat and clean, super helpful staff and great accessibility to the downtown area. We will definitely be back.”

“Summary: Great place to see aircraft, clean, safe, FREE Details: Worth a visit especially with kids if you live near the airport. My son and I went on a Friday at lunch and we saw at least 10 aircraft while there for 30 minutes. Lots of big shade trees for summer time!”

“Nice quiet park. Once upon a time it was a boat launch but, alas, the lake is now a couple hundred yards away.”

“Very nice easy walk. Park down Coastal Drive where there are open fields then walk to sw corner of field towards the fence. You will access an easy to follow trail which has 3 caves to visit. One is fenced off but the other two have a small crawl space that you can venture into. My 8 and 11 year old loved the exploration.....be on the lookout for fossils.”

“I had a great time playing Roy G for the first time! Heard great things about the course and I was not disappointed at all. The teepads are all nice and good signs as well with big cut stones for benches at every single teepad. This is a monster of a course and requires big shots and tight shots of all directions. I wouldn't advise this course for beginners unless you don't mind throwing +40. *I went with a few local friends and there are a lot of homeless people on holes 16, 17, and 18, but it didn't make the course any less enjoyable. Hopefully the city can get that situation taken care of soon as that did cause there to be a lot of trash along those 3 holes.”

“I recently visited this park and was impressed with its newness and well-maintained facilities. The two baseball fields available for rent were in excellent condition and added to the overall appeal of the park. Additionally, the open soccer field was perfect for casual games with friends or family. One highlight of the park was the trail, which was a little over a mile long and offered a bit of a challenge in some areas. While it may not be suitable for elderly individuals or those with certain disabilities, the trail was a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the park and get some exercise. The children's play area was small but nice, providing a safe and enjoyable space for kids to play. Although the park is still under development, the existing amenities make it a great place to visit and spend time with loved ones. Overall, I would definitely recommend this park to anyone looking for a fun and active day outdoors. With its beautiful baseball fields, soccer field, and challenging trail, there's something for everyone to enjoy.”

“I'm Rating this solely to add general info regarding nature preserves. They are NOT parks. No nature preserve will have parking nor any easy conventional access into it. In fact, whether or not the general public is supposed to be allowed in there or not is a regulatory gray area. It's meant for wildlife! I'm overall indifferent about this place. Haven't even been over there, however I can't help but feel it's unfair for it have poor reviews for something it isn't meant to be or have to begin with. Gives me a soft cringe that it could so quickly be criticized by people that didn't bother getting a full scope on what it is exactly they're criticizing.. sheesh! smh”

“Well kept and maintained Travis County Park. You do have to pay admission but it's well worth it. There are areas to hike, swim, scuba dive and launch a boat. The boat parking is huge and there is adequate parking for the largest boats and trailers, there is also a courtesy dock. The restrooms are standard public park facilities. The main playground is huge and there are a few smaller ones around as well. There are tables and gazebos hidden along the trails for picnics or BBQ, there are also new pits that are cared for and not in disrepair. I would actually cook food on them. It's one of my favorite parks in the area.”

“One of the great parks in the Austin area. It is fairly accessible, with a good set of clear trails. The lake is the main draw, but the restored prairie is special and you'll find peace, butterflies, and other wonders walking that trail. On a colder day when there aren't many motor boats it's also one of the quietest parks, which, in addition to the prairie restoration, makes it a refuge for birds and birders. I know it can get busy here though, and folks are not particularly careful about cleaning up after their dogs or keeping them on leash. But this does not sully the natural experience, which is sublime.”

“This is a huge park. It has everything but is king of hard to find. They have a skate park and a splash pad. The walking paths are nice and shaded. We found a nice playground almost hidden. It was by the diamonds. They has nice bathrooms. They had gasbags and even recycle cansZ the playground was covered by a huge shade and the wind blew nicely to keep away the big.”
