“Every attention to detail made stay comfortable and relaxing. Diane and Villard were warm and welcoming people. The location was serene and restful and we felt completely pampered. All B&Bs should be run this way.”

“This is a local post office that serves the community well. It is great that they are open on Saturdays which is a big help when you have a day job. The staff and mail carrier are much more upbeat than their counterparts at more urban locations.”

“This Park is one of the best kept and wonderfully restored historical sites I've ever visited, not only in Texas, but the entire nation. You can take a volunteer tour of Independence Hall, visit displays and go through the store in one area. Next up is the Star of Texas Museum. A 20 minute video is worth your time before enjoying the two story museum. It's amazing how much they have on display and the depth of what's available. The grounds are also beautiful. We spent an easy 3 hours here and I'd suggest allotting at least that much time. Be sure to bring a picnic as not much is available close by.”

“Every Texan should make the pilgrimage to the birthplace of the Republic. As with the US, the founding fathers of Texas put their lives on the line when they declared Independence from Mexico. And you can see where it all went down right here! A fantastic experience, a wonderful museum and a beautiful park. Highly recommended!”
