Beautiful views!! Quiet hiking trails, very peaceful and beautiful. I love this place so much. It's sprawling.. has so much space to explore. Beautiful state park!!
Why sleep in a Walmart parking lot when this fabulous campground is right in Laredo. We were able to have a peaceful sleep before crossing the border into Mexico. We spent a Sunday night and 90% of sites were reserved. Can this be true? Maybe the signs were not removed from the weekend as we were among very few campers that night (one star off for laziness of the ranger)
This park is amazing! So many trails, fishing, camp sites and bbq (picnic) sites. The lake has plenty of beach area for playing. There are playgrounds for children. They even have educational programs! There was a talk about reptiles when we were there. The restrooms are clean and just as other Texas state parks; the showers free. Staff were incredibly helpful and courteous.
Simply beautiful. This lake within the City of Laredo right next to Laredo International Airport. This place has good recreational facilities. I spend my weekends here by the lake where I can hike and enjoy the serenity of the environment.
Great park to stay at. Rangers are super friendly and the park is clean. A number of trails in the park for hiking or biking. I spent a week here in the RV. Sites are big and fairly private. Water, electric and a covered table. Park has a 2 place dump station on the way out. A short walk down to the lake. Javelin, deer, rabbits and birds make for nice nature watching. I had 5GUC with T-moble and 30 or so TV channels. Park might be crowded in summer but in January...I have only one other RV within sight of my rig. I'd definatly come back!
