Such a beautiful and welcoming environment! Love the history, the service, the ambiance and delicious foods and drinks. We visited for our anniversary and were so thankful for the kind staff and tasty experience. We will be back!
THEY CARE!!
I recently communicated my first impressions after a much anticipated visit to CITY POST and I have been thoroughly impressed by the follow up. The response from Chef Adrian, and the ownership, clearly demonstrated to me their passion and how much they care about the quality of product being served at CITY POST, the exchange was truly refreshing.
My family and friends look forward to visiting CITY POST again in the near future. Thank you again CITY POST and Chef Adrian.
DCU TURN
We ate at City Post for the first time and had a great experience. We started with PEI oysters, which were tasty. Their take on an old fashioned was very good. The wedge and house salad were superb. The wedge salad has warm thick cut bacon on it! We split a ribeye, which is a 22oz steak. It was cooked to perfection. Perhaps the best part of the whole experience was the staff. Our waiter JP, was very professional and efficient. We will request him when we return. The chef also came by to make sure everything was just right.
Walking around the square this was a spur of the moment decision to stop by. Needless to say we were not disappointed, wife and I just wanted to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail or two. Lisa and Hailey (Bartenders) delivered, they were engaging and efficient. Drinks were flowing and they never skipped a beat. The Post Old Fashioned and Post Poppy were fantastic. Seats are going to be hard to come by when word gets out about this place.
Fairly new. Really haven't opened for their full menu yet. Set in the old municipal office building that was also the post office. They left the fixtures and tried to give the place the feel of the "old days" when it was still being used. We had lobster rolls that reviled those from Rhode Island. My wife had a salad, which she said was delicious. I had kettle chips that tasted like they were freshly made, with light salt and super crunch. Yum!
We'll be back when they have their full menu.
