Wing Krazy is at this location and holy smokes those wings are legit. My wife got the sweet BBQ and I got the Jamaican Jerk (get ready for tingly lips) and we were both blown away. Also highly recommend the fried pickle spears - perfect balance of acidity and salt. Will be returning soon!
Great family-owned vibe, great food, fair price. Good quote on a catering job. Small eating area and tiny parking lot, so arrive early or do takeout. Juiciest BBQ chicken i can remember ever eating.
Wish I could give more than 5 stars to Buckalew's. I love this place. I love the family honoring the hero in their family by naming the place after him (go inside and read the full story). Great ribs, tasty bbq beef, and my favorite - PERFECT PULLED PORK! 😋
Great brisket, reasonable prices, and fantastic service! My order is always right.
These boys work hard at lots of behind the scenes stuff to make sure your order is perfect.
Remember to tip! If you don't have cash for the jar you can tell them a % to add on when they run your card. You cannot do it after the fact, like in some restaurants where you can write in an amount.
My son picked up lunch on Saturday around noon for carry-out. He was amazed at Buckalew’s affordable prices, saying in the Dallas area he paid twice what he paid in Taylor! He was also moved by the story of their dad’s military service during Vietnam (look for the story on the wall). I am picky about BBQ sauce - some are too sweet, others are have too much vinegar or have too much cayenne pepper; their sauce is perfect for our family! The ribs were tender and favorable and the chopped beef sandwich was nice and lean - not a bunch of fat like some. If you have not tried Buckalew’s on Second St (79) you are missing out on some great Taylor Texas barbecue!
