“Ranessa is a beautiful spirit. I took IET certification with her and it was a great experience. She went overtime on both days to make sure we got the full practice sessions. I am very much looking forward to my next class with her. I highly recommend her.”

“We were so happy with the care our son received over 18 months at DTLA, starting in the non-mobile infant classroom and through toddler 1. Moving to another city and having to find a new daycare has made me appreciate even more how good we had it at DTLA. All of his teachers were such warm, caring, fun people who seemed to genuinely like little kids. In particular, Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Alani, Ms. Vee, and Ms. Tiana were loved by my son and genuinely seemed to love him back--we miss them! The video feed in the classrooms was one of the reasons we chose Discovery Time, and at first I would check out of anxiety about leaving my (then) baby with strangers. I quickly became comfortable with his teachers, but I still checked regularly because I loved seeing how he was spending his day. In all the times I logged in to the video feed, I always saw the teachers being wonderful with the kids. Even when my son was being a little jerk (as all toddlers can be lol), it was clear that his teachers were correcting his behavior calmly and gently. And while they obviously have a ton of tasks to juggle each day, I was always impressed by how consistently they were engaging with the kids--someone was always singing, dancing, clapping, or reading to them, and I never saw a child looking ignored or upset without being comforted.”

“Newly remodeled store in Alexandria is very pleasant. This remodel has been long awaited. As is usual for any Mom's Organic Market, the produce is first rate and always well displayed, fresh and best of all, very clean. This is my favorite place to shop for food. Just as a note, many items here are actually less expensive than at Whole Foods Markets.”

“Coleman and Jose were both wonderful in the process of helping me rent a vehicle. This was the first time I would be renting a car, but they made sure to answer all my questions and helped me to understand just what it was I was signing before I signed anything. Jose thank you for going the extra mile to put gas in the car and Coleman thank you for your patience in making sure that I was comfortable with the vehicle that I chose to leave with. Awesome customer service from the both of you. Thank you Coleman and Jose!”

“I've gone here a few time and it's always been amazing food. The pupusas are the best I've ever had. Even the steak quesadilla, that we order as appetizer was amazing. This is definitely an authentic Salvadoran restaurant. Can't wait to go back!”

“I can only review their beer as it is what I buy from here. The beer here has a great selection of local and national craft along with some imports. All top notch and all very fresh..I don’t have to check the dates! I always get the mystery bags as they allow me to try new beer I might not pick for myself. Great local store!”

“I first came to know Dr. Rizzo in September 2012, when she diagnosed my multiple myeloma. I have been doing quite well since then, and have enjoyed being treated in her practice. (The team of nurses is also stellar.) One of the things that I particularly like is that she partners with a subspecialist in multiple myeloma at the Johns Hopkins cancer center in Baltimore, so that while I can get attention close to home from Dr Rizzo I can also get strategic direction and more advanced procedures (autologous stem cell transplant) at Hopkins. I would highly recommend Dr. Rizzo as a knowledgeable and careful doctor who communicates well with patients. If you come down with cancer, you want someone like Dr. Rizzo in your corner.”

“William McCoy over at Friealtor saved my family over 10K by listing our house with them! Their system works well and I was able to handle pretty much the whole transaction from taking offers to going under contract and closing with minimal involvement from them. Everything is online but they are there to help if you need it. They also sent a professional photographer out to take pictures. We were under contract in about 30 days. Thanks again Friealtor! I'll be recommending you to everyone I know!!”

“For years, I concentrated on my education and career, which left many things such as my health and fitness on the back burner. After earning my degrees, I started a self-made "health journey" that consisted of eating salads, hitting a daily step count, and trying to figure out an exercise routine. After a few weeks of trying on my own, I quickly learned that I had no idea what I was doing and needed professional assistance, so I had a consultation with Jé and joined Battle Fitness. Though I was apprehensive and overwhelmed at first, once I started talking and getting to know Jé, I knew the Body Transformation Journey was what I had been looking for! I realized that Jé knows exactly what she is doing, and I trusted her to guide me in the right direction - after over a year of working with her, she hasn't steered me wrong! I lost 5% body fat and 21 pounds on my first Body Transformation Journey, achieving my first goal! It made me feel more confident in myself, and I'm looking forward to achieving my future goals! I work with Jé online for my semi-private personal training and nutritional education and support. With the online training format, Jé can see everyone working out in real-time, which allows her to explain a specific move or critique form. It has also been a great way to meet other clients on their Journeys. The other clients are supportive, keep a positive and motivated attitude, and build a sense of community. Plus, the online format has allowed me to attend more personal training sessions while keeping a busy schedule with work and travel. I was also impressed by the online nutrition education that contained both readings and videos, an explanation of the processes with the scientific reasoning, and deadlines to make sure I stayed on track. I'm currently in the middle of my second Body Transformation Journey and plan for a third! I'm in it for the long haul, and though there are a lot of questions and emotions when thinking about future Journeys, I trust Jé to continue to guide me along the way!”

“This is an adorable bookstore with a large children's section and a growing YA/adult section. They also have a collection of toys and novelty items. I stopped by when I was on a business trip. The people running the store were very polite. One employee with curly brown hair was especially helpful and gave me a few book recommendations. If you're traveling and want to grab a souvenir, or if you're just looking for your next great read-I'd definitely recommend this adorable bookstore.”
