Upper Shirley Vineyards

A nice hour drive from Williamsburg. The grounds are a hint of elegance and yet relaxing.
Wine flights are very reasonable. Fried green tomatoes are awesome and the truffle fries where out of this world.

Beautiful place with amazing food, great wine and wonderful service! I can’t wait to come back as we enjoyed our time here so much! Didn’t take any photos of the food, but it was delicious! I am still thinking about that crab cake sandwich… highly recommend!

Google had a bit of a challenge to get there with the Historic Plantation next door. Wine was good. They had music on the back porch. I would have given a 5 star but they really need more umbrellas below the back porch area. The porch tables are reserved and or for food. They closed early for a wedding so we enjoyed a bottle of their wine and took in the beautiful views along the river.

I was taken here to celebrate my birthday and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is lovely and the wine choices were spectacular.
I learned there was a nearby bike trail folks take and ride to the vineyard from the trail.
They had outdoor music when I was there which is always a treat.
