I ended up going to Virginia Leisure, which is a hike from where I live, because a hot tub that I ordered from Atlantic Spas was delayed by 4 months. Let me save you time and a massive headache: go to Virginia Leisure and buy a Bullfrog from Doug. I spent months researching hot tubs, hot tub technology, options, prices, etc. Let’s be honest, hot tubs are super expensive and you want to get it right. After deliberating I decided to get a Hot Springs Hot tub. I ordered it, put down a 50% deposit, and I was told that at most it would take 8 weeks to have it delivered and installed. 16 weeks later no hot tub from Atlantic with a “we will call you when we know” and a “don’t blame us you misunderstood attitude”.

I called Virginia Leisure and Doug told me to come on in so we could talk. This is where my problems ended and we discovered hot tub nirvana. Doug helped us find the Bullfrog and pick out the one that was suitable for our lifestyle and yard. He was a straight shooter, not afraid to be honest about the cost or possible delays, and even after my purchase he continued to follow up and update me. 6 weeks later we were sitting in our new Bullfrog, which was surprisingly substantially LESS than the hot tub I had originally picked out with Atlantic. The bonus is that Virginia Leisure has been outstanding in helping me get the chemistry and maintenance painlessly straight.

The Bullfrog is hands-down the best hot tub I have ever been in. My husband is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and he is impressed with the massage capabilities and options. It’s obvious that therapists and medical people were involved in its design. As a nurse it helps me to recover after long days at work, as a doc my husband can finally get fully relaxed without leaving the country. Ha. It has changed our lives. If you live in the Hampton Roads area, and you’re in the market for a hot tub, use my cliff notes: 1. Go to Virginia Leisure 2. Pick-out your Bullfrog. Ladies: you won’t be disappointed ;)

My husband and I purchased our first ever hot tub from Virginia Leisure. Nate helped us through the process. He was informative, helpful, and not pushy at all. We got the tub as promised and we couldn’t be happier with it! The water balance has been a little tough at first, but we are learning.

We have been back too! Stephen recently assisted us with our purchase of outdoor furniture to complete our backyard project. He let us know about specials, custom orders, and gave us a background on how the furniture comes from recycled milk jugs (fun fact). Again, he was informative, but also gave us our space to deliberate. We felt comfortable during the process and probably sat in all the chairs to find the best set for us.

I visited 4 stores before I happened upon this gem. The other establishments had tiny show rooms and the staff was less than inviting. Virginia Leisure had a great selection of hot tubs on site combined with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Stephen in particular was outstanding; he spent over 2 hours going through the hot tubs with me and actually listened to my wants/needs. I highly recommend going here for any future hot tub purchases. Thanks again Steve!
