“I live in Virginia Beach and spent a year trying to find a Day Support for my Son. After seeing them all in VA Beach I started on Chesapeake. I didn't let Just People know I was coming and just showed up (something I like to do to see what it is really like, not the staged version when they know your coming) and was very impressed. They had enough staff and the people all seemed to be happy and engaged. They gave me a tour of the building, it was clean and bright and as we walked around some of the clients welcomed me and told me it was a "great place". I made an appointment and come back with my Son and we have been with them for over a year now. I pop up unexpected all the time and always find my Son dancing or singing karaoke, playing games with other clients or staff, always engaged. The staff is wonderful! My Son goes on field trips most every day and the staff plan party for them all the time. They just had a big Sinco DiMaio party last week that I was a little bummed I wasn't invited to. I drive almost 40 minutes to take him to JPI and I always know it's the right decision when I spend the 40 minutes driving home with him and he is telling me all the things he did that day.”
