(December 5, 2020, 5:50 pm)I came here to purchase a gift knowing next to nothing about knives. Bob spent the better part of an hour with me, educating me about knives, brands and price points. He also took the time to really understand what type of use this knife will get and what would make the most sense for my partner and talked me out of a more expensive knife. Honestly I forgot shopping could be so pleasant and that customer service could feel sincere and have real value.

My son and I are diving into the knife world together. He really wanted to get me a knife for my birthday, and I could not make a decision from a computer screen. We took two kitchen knives to get sharpened and ended up with a detailed and much appreciated tutorial on sharpening knives. We took a tour of a handful of knives that were in my price range that felt like a comfortable conversation with a guy that wanted us to love knives as much as he does. We looked at some outliers that I know I will return and buy in the future, and we ended up with a great knife that my son and I picked together. I have that knife in my pocket and use it all the time.
Everything can be bought online, but The Classic Edge is the place to go for the service and the tactile experience. It’s my son’s turn next and we’re going to go back to this knife shop.
Highly recommended.

Bob has a great personality easy to talk too and made me feel so comfortable with the transaction. Friendly environment good selection of knives. A very positive experience. !!
