“This place has been around for awhile, since my husband was a kid! We returned to take our dinosaur loving kids (3yo and 1yo) who absolutely had a blast. Went on an October morning and had the place essentially to ourselves! We loved that we could get up close, touch the structures, run around, and take fun/silly photos. Some dinosaurs could use some fresh colors but honestly it sort of adds to the nostalgia. New models have been added and that was cool to see/touch. We loved the space and the large trees that added to the whole experience. Large gift shop with tons of items littles will be crying for, so parents brace yourselves. Pricing is fair and staff is nice. Plan your visit to last 15 minutes for the faster paced individuals to a hour for the leisure enthusiasts. I would recommend this for younger kids and dinosaur lovers. Easy walking for all ages. Laid back short stop in the Winchester area.”

“Even though we did not watch the Super Bowl, we headed over to Texas Trey's for our "Super Bowl" food. The chicken nachos were incredible! Texas Trey's has the most fresh tasting guacamole(seriously delicious!) and the most delicious(and crunch satisfying) chips. The portions are more than generous and the food is fresh and perfectly seasoned. Are you getting the idea that Texas Trey's is delicious and satisfying? And all served with a smile!”

“My friends and I have started a tradition of an annual multi day canoe/camping trip on the Shenandoah. We were burned by a local company last year so we looked for a new canoe rental and shuttle provider. There aren't many options in the area and the ones that exist have no-refund cancellation policies and limited trip options. Sean at Virginia River Trips was EXACTLY what we wanted. No deposit required. No cancellation policy. No minimum party size. No driving to multiple business locations to pay and sign waivers. No competing with tubers for a shuttle pickup. We are talking about a man with a van, a trailer, and canoes. A surprisingly simple operation. He marked us on his calendar and was waiting for the 6 of us when we showed up. He was waiting at the takeout 2 days later as planned. He was on time and professional. He was flexible with our custom itinerary. I hope this business grows and others have the same experience. I just hope he doesn't get too busy to take us next year. I would never use anyone else for this stretch of the river.”
