Did the Raven Rocks hike. Highly recommend. About 6 miles round trip, fairly strenuous, with a good bit of climbing and descending. But if my 7 year old daughter cab do it, so can you! The view at the top is great, worth the hike.
Easy access and large parking
Not too far but good exercise with rocks and ups and down to get those muscles engaged. It was muddy in some places but that is the nature of hiking. The only thing I could fault them for is not having a dog poop container at the trail head but they do have a deer carcass only dumpster!
Parking lot for the Appalachian Trail. Access trail is at the back of the lot in the treeline. This trail connects with the AT. To get to the NB AT, you have to cross VA7. Be careful! You can also reach the AT by walking westbound along the side of VA7.
Nice place to visit to get away.. Good trails.
Plenty of parking. Although on the gravel parking, there's some ruts when entering..
