Cedar Dam

I enjoyed my camping experience at cedar dam more than any camping I have done in the past through out many states. We stayed in the tin roof camping and I never felt more at home and cozy camping as I did here. Kim and Bruce are amazing hosts. I enjoyed cooking my meals at the fish house and eating them while casting a pole. I caught over 80 fish in 7days. Many were small but it was the fun of the catch for me. I did cook up 6 good size fish in the fish house on the foreman grill after cleaning them on the provided cleaning station, very convenient. Lastly and my favorite part was the bunny patch complete with a HUGE Tommy tomatoe wild grown patch. The tomatoes were so sweet and delicious. The green ones chopped me up a nice green tomatoe dip I enjoyed the day after coming home. And I was reminiscent of my stay at cedar dam as I ate the fresh tomato dip. Wish I was there now.

We enjoyed our visit to Cedar Dam in Dinwiddie. We booking a day via Outdoor Access, but we departed after lunch. Kim was a great host. We had a beautiful morning to paddle around the pond, do some fishing and to enjoy lunch by the campfire. We definitely plan to return.

Beautiful spot nestled away just a short ride south of Richmond. Great host, very hospitable. Community fish house and fire pit are laid out really nice. Enjoyed a couple relaxing days fishing and enjoying the surrounding scenery.

This was the BEST camping experience I have ever had anywhere in the country. The amenities were wonderful, the pictures do not do this place justice and the host was wonderful. I brought my 13 year old niece, my 65 year old mother and 4 dogs. Everyone had a great time, there was so much to do and see... I will definitely be back! My mom wants to rent the cabin they have next time.
