“When visiting this spot, it is all about the restaurant Hunan West. Make sure to eat at that fine Chinese restaurant. The food is stunning and the time it takes to eat is fast. Unlike much Chinese cooked food in the United States, this particular place is not using much sugar/sweet ingredients which therefore allows the flavors to fully come through and distinctively make every dish unique. The staff is super friendly and the family that runs this business is very welcoming. Pricing at this location is reasonable and plenty of seating available. I highly recommend this establishment for some great family style Chinese food.”

“My first violin teacher, Greg Hiser, teaches here, and being a professional musician/instructor now myself, I've gotten to know everyone in this store pretty well. The interior has gone through a series of makeovers, and looks much better now than it ever has. The guys at the front are helpful, and if they don't have what you are looking for, they can easily order it and have it in for you within a couple of days. They give a teacher's discount comparable to other music stores in the area. Lesson prices are comparable to what you would expect to pay elsewhere. Rental programs are also comparable. With so many chain music stores these days, it's always nice to try to support a smaller local business such as Twinbrook Music!”

“Went with our neighborhood bunco group last week and it was so fun! You pick your project ahead of time so when you arrive, all of your materials are laid out for you at your place. They offer a glass of wine or beer (local!!) and supply everything you need to make a one of a kind sign. The options for signs are ridiculous- holidays, family, kids, locations, etc. You pick stain color for the wood, sand and distress it yourself, choose a paint color (or 2 or 3 or 4!), and they guide you through the steps. They are minimally hands on, so it's all you. But if you are clueless with colors , they are happy to help. The walls are full of amazing examples. I think all 28 of us want to return. I made a wedding gift, so now I need to make one for myself!”

“Going on vacation has always been such a challenge with 3 dogs who have not had much luck in the past with boarding facilities. Laura was very accommodating and fit us right in. She came to our house 3 times a day for an hour each visit, stayed overnight with our dogs and even left us a report card of their daily activities while we were away.
