I came across JFay Fitness via Google, read the reviews, and decided to meet with Joanie to see if we were a fit. Thank goodness I did because it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. Her practical approach to fitness was exactly what I needed. The one on one sessions allowed me to learn lifting skills and form, in a safe healthy way, to achieve the changes I was looking for. I had tried a myriad of diets and been a “gym rat” in the past, but those things just weren’t working the way they used to. Joanie made me understand how food is truly fuel and I’m now slowly but surely fixing my (what I call broken) metabolism. Her NASM Nutrition Cert means she’s competent in all things fitness, and she was able to explain my fuel needs in a way I was able to understand and overcome my fear of overeating. I haven’t felt this good about myself and this sure about my body image in a long time. I’m stronger, I have more energy and I’m now equipped with the tools to better myself through incremental, longterm lifestyle adjustments. I now look forward to going to her gym and she makes workouts fun and challenging. My mid-life body betterment journey is just beginning and I love where it’s headed.
I'm not sure where to begin to describe the gift of finding Joanie. After every session with her personal attention and the custom training plan she has created for me, I always feel rejuvenated and uplifted. Joanie truly exudes a commitment to the individual and works with whatever fitness status she finds. She is an encourager and not a judger. If you are looking for a cheerleader to motivate you and improve your physical condition, you should meet with Joanie! She's one of a kind.
I've had many Personal Trainers over the years that were ok. But Joanie is EXCELLENT! In her in-home gym, she provides personalized workouts that are fun 😊; one-on-one attention; tips on nutrition and help with goal setting. Not only that but Joanie is super supportive, patient and always ready with a kind word to keep me motivated! I always look forward to workout now!
I’ve been training with Joanie from JFay Fitness for almost 5 months and I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She truly puts her heart into training her clients and listening to their goals. She’s motivating and supportive and is always well prepared. Joanie is very knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining the rationale behind the exercises. She also does a great job of maintaining and cleaning the space. I would recommend Joanie to anyone searching for a Personal Traniner, she is phenomenal!!
I worked with Joanie at JFayFitness for six months last year. Over the years, I have had a fair amount of experience working out on my own, at larger gyms and with trainers. I can say with confidence that my experience with Joanie translated to the best results. Her gym is well-equipped, and Joanie does a terrific job of mixing up exercises while moving toward a clear, consistent set of fitness goals. Joanie is extremely well-prepared and is very willing to offer explicit professional views while also providing flexibility. That balance was really important in 2021 as we had to adjust to COVID-related constraints. Her preparation and flexibility was good for me too because I was adjusting to my own views as to what it would take and look like to be more fit (in my more mature years). In addition to our scheduled sessions, Joanie didn’t hesitate to check in between sessions and offer supplemental information to improve my overall approach to wellness. I highly recommend Joanie and JFayFitness! You won’t regret it.
