“Beautiful park! One of the better parks in NOVA. Love the trail around the lake. The skate park is fun, good local community. Check out DELORES WHEEL Co. A local skate wheel company that skates at lake Fairfax.”

“Beautiful little stream valley park. The CCT winds along Difficult Run. No amenities, and not many people either. Sit quietly along the creek and you'll never know what you'll see!”

“Lake Fairfax has a lot to offer. For this area, it's one of the best parks that you can go to. Lake Fairfax is close to home for me. I love going there and taking walks. To my knowledge, it also has some of the best mountain bike trails in the area. I'm familiar with the paths now, but I remember when I first started visiting how I could get lost. In like it's a huge risk considering that it is an oasis inside of a major metropolitan area, but it's kind of neat to find a spot large enough to get turned around if you're not paying attention. As for tent camping, I don't think that you will find anything more luxurious than this. I'd say that about a third of the campsites have electrical outlets. As far as the bathrooms go, I haven't been in a campsite that has better. Each door you open on the facility has one toilet, one sink, a shower and a three-seater bench to sit down on. There is plenty of space inside of each one. If I remember correctly, there are six bathrooms, each about 12 x 12 ft. I definitely recommend visiting if you enjoy the outdoors.”

“Nice, green neighborhood park, with a playground and a small hill, suitable for sledding. It is a part of a string of three stream valley parks, for a total distance of almost two miles.”

“Bicyclists Beware! The connector trail and bridge is wonderful for providing access to the W&OD trail ... but Meadowlark Road is very dangerous with hilly terrain and two blind curves, so bicyclists who want to proceed past Abbey Oak Drive toward the gardens should always use the Meadowlark Gardens Perimeter Trail as intended by the County.”

“My old stomping grounds. From 1965 to 1977 I grew up in these woods. Kemper Park, named after Kemper Beard, the great man who built the subdivision Kemper Park, and my father's favorite boss ever. What a great way to grow up in these woods, building tree forts, catching frogs down at the creek, riding bikes and dirt bikes through the trails, and shooting hoops at the b-ball court. Good times, good times.”

“Good sized place to run with decent textured medium in the ground. No isolation for small dogs, but owners are good about watching and separating dogs doing issues. Drinking water and bags available, and they have kiddie pools available in warmer weather. Watch belongings in your parked car. There have been occasional break ins.”

“Nice field, it's Turf though , has proper dugouts, bathroom and snackshack. Parking can be tight, especially when games are ending/starting.”

“This review is specific to the dog park. The park is big enough, but not big. The base layer for the park is rock dust. The pros: small, but useful perimeter lights for the last bit of playtime before complete nightfall, dog wash station, with hose hooked up to running water, 2 poop bag stations which are typically stocked up. 6 benches around the park to sit. Plenty of tree cover for shade. 2 opposing entrances to the park. Cons: rock dust absorbs a lot of smells. On a busy day the smell of urine is sometimes overwhelming. Parking is limited. Small size of park. Overall, this dog park is the best with what it has to offer in Vienna.”

“I grew up in this park, playing it it’s creek and running through it’s woods. It holds meany warm memories for me. This is the park where the spy Robert Hansen used to do his dead drops. He would mark the park sign with tape on Creek Crossing when a drop was ready. Across the street, past the little pump house, there is a metal bridge. Under the bridge there is a little hole between the deck and the concrete support. Files and payments where wrapped in black garbage bags and hidden... He was captured by the FBI up the street on the corner of Creek Crossing and Fairway. That bridge is where I had my first kiss too so ovbi very important and historical bridge.”
