CFD residential gave me the strong foundation I needed to go on to complete the PHP and IOP programs at CFD Alexandria. The director, physician, therapists, nurses, and counselors cared for me like a family member would. I'm confident in my recovery going forward and that's because of CFD. This place helped me more than I would have ever imagined. They have incredible staff and an incredible treatment team. I discharged months ago and am still in strong recovery and I wouldn't have been able to do it without their support at the beginning.

Update: It is over a year later and I am now fully recovered and I am a published author which I wrote some of the pieces at McLean. This place impacted me like no other and I am so happy I landed here after struggling at so many other places. They really do care here and are so compassionate,

I’ve seen many program directors in action, and Liz Brown goes above and beyond what is expected every time. Not only does she do a phenomenal job of running things, she also takes a special interest in connecting with the clients to make sure the experience they have is the best it can be.

During my time at residential, I had both Elaine Williams and Sara Boothe as therapists, and they both played huge roles in my recovery. They were willing to meet me where I was, and treat me with the methods I needed, always with respect and with kindness, throughout our whole time together.

The nurses, counselors, doctor, psychiatrist, facility manager, and everyone else I came in contact with on staff was extremely compassionate and it was clear that everyone who works here considers this more than a job.
