“My family was in town for a funeral and a birthday for our 3 year old cousin. We had heard that this Fire & Rescue team makes birthdays extra special for lkids. Now being from Southern California, we thought the stories "couldn't" be true. How can that be? When we arrived at the station, the fire and rescue personnel, Tyler Butler came out to greet us. He then led us to the fire & rescue vehicles, where the team allowed our three year old cousin to jump into the fire truck where he received a fire dept (plastic) helmet. They turned on the lights and let him feel like he was a real fireman. They showed him around the garage, other fire & rescue vehicles, an ambulance and a police cruiser. He had the time of his life!!! I'm not saying that the local Fire and Rescue in Southern California do not do this, because I have never approached them to do so. I just wanted to give a shout out to Tyler and the rest of the team at the Franklin Fire & Rescue Medic 5. Thank you for making our cousins 3rd birthday one that he will not forget any time soon!!
