“January 4, 2023 - 1st time rating ( if I could, I would) give 10 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Driving south from Maine, on a 2,000 mile road trip . . . When our car dash board lit up like a Christmas tree. Oil check light, ABS light, traction control light, on & on . . . We contacted a Virginia friend for lodging and a GOOD Mechanic! Our friend called Chris, her connection to Harris Garage in Hayes, VA. . . Without an appointment, Chris said , “ We’ll take a look!” The problem was a check value, and a few other items that required parts. Chris ordered the parts said it would be a day, after the parts arrived. We phoned ahead and canceled our B & B reservation in South Carolina. . . Thinking car troubles would delay our trip south. Oh well, that’s a curveball in Life. To our surprise, Chris called the next day, and said, “ Your car is fixed, ready to pick up!” Damn fast! What a surprise! We picked up the car, and started driving to Charleston, South Carolina . . . in time for our B & B reservation! This is an amazing organization, and I personally met the owner, Michael Harris, and Chris at 5:05 pm (technically the shop was closed) . . . I thanked them for their fantastic customer service & last minute emergency repairs on my Subaru! I can’t say enough how impressive they treated strangers from a distant state, traveling through Virginia who encountered car troubles. Anytime if these folks travel to Maine, I will treat them to beer 🍺 & lobsters! 🦞 on me ! Thank you gentlemen! Harris Garage is family owned, which opened in the 1940’s by Michael’s Grandfather! These folks are honest, trustworthy, with loads of experience! If I were living anywhere within 100 miles, I’d have Chris on “ speed dial” for all my car concerns & repairs! 😎👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼”

“I absolutely love this Home Depot ... I just moved from my beloved Colonial Williamsburg to Gloucester and just getting acquainted to all the stores on this side of the river ... I find their prices affordable and compatible to other similar stores ... Right now a lot of their Garden center plants are on sale ... Sis and I bought a very nice stainless steel kitchen work table and it was delivered yesterday Fed X ... I toured their Garden Center and am so pleased at all they have and not bad prices ... Can't wait until Spring because there will be so much more ... I am going to be 71 and my twin sis too on the 20th and I am old and gray ... but I had 4 young men that work at Home Depot ask me if I needed any help ... They were polite and courteous ... I was there right at opening so maybe I just got lu KY ... Most workers wear masks but there are no mask requirements to enter store nor are there anyone wiping shopping carts ... I do see hand sanitizer in main store ... I for one wish ALL stores still pursued safety first ... Any hoot ... It's a HUGE parking lot and 2 entrances ... 3 if you count the Garden Center when they are open ... It's a great location ... A bit tricky getting into their parking lot ... You enter the intersection where Chicken Filet is and turn just past Chicken Filet ... Drive straight until you get to the very last parking lot on you left and Home Depot being the LAST store on your left ... The several times I have been in there I have always been able to find a very helpful worker and they have even taken us right to what we were looking for ... I am the kind of person that doesn't really like going to any type of doctor, but I have put off going to an eye doctor for years because the appointments are always very long and hard for me to sit through. However, after seeing Dr. Wilcox I will most definitely be back and I am going to have my husband and children come as well. He is extremely knowledgeable and able to have normal conversations while working. He made me feel like a normal person and even had me laughing quite a bit. We found her to be very knowledgeable on various types of flooring and even suggested we purchase a flooring that was slightly less than what we originally picked because of our dogs. She was very frank about our expectations on the flooring. The crew was wonderful to work with, they arrived on time, got straight to work, they even vacuumed our new floors.
