This is an interesting place. If anything I wish it was bigger, and more people knew about the life and contributions of Virginia Estelle Randolph. Wow, what an amazing lady. This is next to a school which also features her name, as well as a very large "Softball Complex" in Glen Allen. So, be careful not to speed. Also, it can get very busy if you come during a tournament. Note that there really isn't a lot of parking on the North side of the street, and her memorial is very close to the road. I would definitely recommend contacting them before you go to confirm hours and COVID-era policies and operations. Ms. Randolph was a pioneer on multiple levels in the community, and in education, she even created the first "Arbor Day" in Virginia. She should really be the subject of a documentary, perhaps several. Until then, check this place out!
I actually ended up here because Google maps said there was a library, which there was!! Just very small but the museum is definitely worth checking out!!
Great Historic place. Not well known although it should be. This and she is what monumental ave. In Richmond should be about . Not those other "statues"
My daughter and I participated in the History Investigators here and it was so much fun! It’s a small museum with a great story, and be sure to check out the cake!!!
The Museum had a great DVD describing the life of a great Educator!
