We just love Three Lake Park!! Nice long paths and exciting nature trails to explore. My favorite part is just how much wildlife there is to discover and observe. Wild orchids, turtles, snakes, oh my! 🙂
We had a wonderful send-off for North Carolina A&T new students. The Richmond Alumnae Chapter hosted it.
Beautiful park with trails around the lakes, overlooks, fishing, and a really nice playground. The visitor center and aquarium was closed, but in previous visits I enjoyed that. Accessible to all. And, of course, geocaching.
Haven't been here in 8 years. The last time I went, I visited the nature center which is now closed. That didn't affect me today because dogs aren't allowed in the buildings. Great park. I spent one hour on one of the trails. Not crowded. Ran into 3 people on a weekday around 11. Most of the people I saw were at the playground. Nice place to visit if you love nature and water. Serene. Glad dogs are allowed. A few benches are along the trail. Wish I lived near so I could go more often.
There is a wide variety of animals that live in this park: herons, geese, ducks, deer, turtles, hawks and woodpeckers can all be seen on a regular basis. I have also seen otters, a muskrat and four times I have seen bald eagles. The hiking trails are great, too.
