Fort Boykin

The trees are enormous here and so breathtaking. Old and majestic. It feels magical. There is a beach here as well. A nice walk in nature. A great place for a picnic. There is a shelter with picnic tables and there is a bathroom on site.

Peaceful and quiet, awesome wildlife!!! The bicolor fawn was amazing to see!!!!

My pups absolutely loved the beach here. The trails were nice but I took one star off because they don't seem very well maintained. I would walk a path and then it would suddenly drop off and I wasn't sure which direction I should continue in or if it was some sort of picnic meadow area or something. Other than that I'm looking forward to exploring this park more with my family. There were puppy clean up posts in a few key locations, some tables at the start, and a public bathroom (I didn't go in though). The water looked pretty clear and the beach was clean too.

Our 2nd time visiting and no one else around either time. Views down at the beach are great and they have actual bathrooms instead of a port a potty. Great spot to swim since it's of the beaten path.

We love going here with our dogs. A part of me wishes it was bigger but the beach is wonderful. And it’s a very beautiful place. Our dogs love playing in the river and it’s so nice for my husband and I to lay on the beach and get our sun burns on.
