(January 3, 2019, 1:28 pm)I received a very dirty compact car that smelled like smoke. After driving it I couldn't take the stench. I called customer service and I was able to trade the car in. Greg at the counter at Dulles Airport was very helpful. He even helped us upgrade to a larger vehicle a few days later. Greg has been working for Avis since 1990 and his attention to our needs exemplifies excellent customer service. Greg went beyond the "policy" to make us comfortable.
(December 28, 2018, 8:06 pm)Super easy rental and return process! No wait on either end. Prepaid for the rental beforehand, had a zero balance upon return. The big shuttle bus to the airport was luckily waiting for us after we returned the car.
(November 25, 2018, 8:05 pm)Shuttle Bus was waiting when i got there so less than 1 minute wait. The check-in agent was very friendly and helpful, there was a good selection of cars, and they were all clean, I averaged 48 miles per gallon on that KIA Niro and up to 59mpg 1 day.
When returning the car, always park behind all the cars you see on the right, the line of cars you see on the left facing the other way would be going for service, so you could pull behind all of those, and all the employees will see you in just walk past like you don't exist until you figure out for yourself you're in the wrong area when no one will come to help you, so when you do drive over to the right side then someone will help you, take care of you, and was friendly and helpful.
