(March 16, 2020, 1:38 am)Parking lot is not big, unpaved. It’s about 0.75 mile from the parking lot to the entrance of the Old Rag trail. Has portable toilets. You have to pay a fee to enter the trail, but if you bring a valid receipt from entering Shenandoah National park, they won’t charge you.

(September 30, 2019, 12:51 pm)Awesome place to go for a hike. Plan to spend at least 5 to 6 hours out there to complete the full loop. Took us about 6.5 hours to do. The rock scramble can be quite challenging especially for younger children

(March 25, 2019, 9:07 pm)We went the weekend after Thanksgiving. There were two other cats in the parking lot on a weekday. The home to Old Rag was awesome! The rock scramble was so fun!
