“My son takes private swim lessons with Coach Caleb, and he absolutely loves it. My son has a disability and was traumatized from earlier lessons at the "mommy and me" lessons geared towards babies and toddlers at other locations, so we decided to enroll him in a swim school that focused on different values and competition. From our first phone call, the coaches and managers we spoke to were extremely polite, professional, and genuinely listened to our concerns. They offered us a trial class, which my son loved. We decided to enroll him in private lessons with Coach Caleb, who has worked miracles with our son. My son trusts him and has completed swim tasks that he never did before. My son has been working with Coach Caleb for a little over a month now, and we have already noticed a significant improvement in my son's water skills. At the previous location, we saw little to no changes in over 3 months, but we noticed a change within 2 weeks. The coaches rely on trust, accommodation, and individualize their lessons for each learner. We are so happy to have found this place and plan to continue as long as my son allows!”

It is a nurturing environment where all the teachers and staff we have encountered have shown they truly care about the development and well being of our son, and our family. Our son has a physical disability that affects his gross motor skills, his mobility and his speech development. His teachers have been willing to work with us in accommodating his needs to allow him to participate fully and develop along with his peers. He has made great strides in improving his motor skills and speech, and we owe a large debt to the care and commitment of everyone at Compass for helping our little guy to succeed.”

“After working at Minnieland Wellington for three years as a young adult, I knew it would be the only place my future children would go - and here we are. Even though I moved on and it's been seven years since I've worked at Minnieland, most of the lead teachers I worked with are still there, which is incredible considering the job turn-over rate in the DC area. They truly love their jobs and are the best around. My son is now in the infant room and I get daily updates on his activity, food consumption and nap times. I feel at ease knowing he's in great hands and is loved by the staff. Director Stacy Hancock is amazing and makes every part of the process easy. Can't say enough about Minnieland!”

“My son got his first guitar the other day that he's desperately wanting to learn how to play music one day. He is only 5 and his attention span isn't the greatest when it comes to learning something tricky. I brought him here and man was he excited to see Scott's music room. His eyes lit up in excitement. I didn't realize how much goes into learning the correct ways to hold the guitar and your fingers, but my son learned quite a bit today being his first time visiting Scott's Guitar Lessons and I am very much ready to help him learn while learning myself. He is ready to earn his first electric guitar one day after being mind blown by Scott's talent on his own guitar and his collection. I am happy to find a hobby that my son and I can enjoy together and with guidance with Scotts help. We will be visiting again soon”

“After looking at a few area day care facilities, we selected La Petite on Dumfries Rd for our 3 grandchildren after obtaining custody of them in January of 2010. We could not have made a better choice. Most of the staff has been there for 15+ years, some for over 20 years. They are professional, friendly, and most of all they really care about the kids as if they were their own. In addition to a traditional daycare, they keep the kids busy with all sorts of field trips and extra activities, especially during the summer programs that are offered. We really couldnt be happier with La Petite and their staff. I HIGHLY recommend them!!! You wont be sorry!”
