Good Afternoon,
My husband called once to ask about monthly rates for RV spots and we were directed to your website. I told him to call again to see if it was possible to be put on a wait list, as this stay would be for work purposes and not leisure, and the second person who answered was not pleasant. The gentleman was very short and off putting, since they must have recognized the number, and answered immediately with no monthly spots are available without even saying hello. I can understand this is peak season, but that doesn't justify being curt and short with your cliental.
Update: The gentleman who spoke to my husband the second time called personally to apologize for what transpired and that it wasn't his intention to come off in that manner. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to rectify the issue, it is greatly appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed. Have a wonderful day.
WE LOVE THEM! Big shout out to the good people at Riverside! Chickahominy river has always been so special to us. Riverside Camp and Marina is our go-to for cottage and boat rental. We especially enjoy renting a pontoon from them, and they have superb customer service. They are down to earth, friendly, and make every trip wonderful for us.
My family loved our stay at Riverside! The owner could not have been nicer or more helpful. Renting the pontoon was the highlight of our stay. We will definitely return.
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a few days in one of the cabins, we loved it. The cabins are nice and staff are so sweet and helpful, the pamphlet they give you has local restaurants they recommend and we tried a few and all were great. The view of the lake when you wake up is amazing and also it has plenty of fish to catch from the bank, dock, or using the boat the ramp to go out on the water. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a nice getaway with great people, especially if you love fishing.
We loved our stay at this campground. There are only a few RV spaces, and on the water. It is well kept and clean. They offer full hook ups, and are very convenient. They have a cool little store with a variety of food, snacks, ice cream, fishing equipment and bait, campground swag, and anything you left behind. The owners couldn't have been nicer. They are fairly new owners, and really care about the campground and guests. They even hand delivered my Amazon package with a laptop charger I forgot. 💌 There are many full-timers and permanent sites here, like their own community. They are in the process of changing out the picnic tables, which really, besides super Internet, is my only recommendation. Comes with a fire pit, picnic table, level spaces, and offer wood for sale (which you get quite a bit for the $), and delivered to your site. They also have cute cabins in which you can rent. They are also a marina, and was a little worried about traffic and noise (especially since there was a fishing tournament our Saturday). It is still very quiet!!! We both loved it, and plan to come back with family.
