Tough course in that it doesnt give you many places to miss, off the tee or on approach shots. I liked it but if you are a little off you will be spending plenty of time at the beach. Greens were actually a little scruffy, not sure if that is normal or something going on with them. Would def play again if i was back in the area.
We played after they received almost 4 inches of rain the day and night before, and the course was in very playable condition. Greens rolled fast and smooth, and only a few spots in the fairways had small areas of standing water.
General Manager, Charlie Burch, was extremely accommodating to our party of 16 golfers. Course is absolutely beautiful and in excellent condition. Club house food and service was super!
Beautiful course. The layout is great- tucked away from houses. Provides a challenge, but is fair if you execute.
I love this course. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were excellent. The layout is long, you'll get plenty of opportunity for driver and long irons. You can play this course for multiple yardages due to the large assortment of t-box areas. The greens are slippery! May take some getting adjusted to. The course itself is very beautiful in a wooded area in New Kent right behind the New Kent Winery. I found the staff to be very helpful and enthusiastic. Which is such a great change from some other courses. Charlie at the front desk is awesome! Their food assortment is relatively good they do have a beverage cart that roams the course. The driving range is all grass and well laid out. On a side note, the driving range balls are all in good shape and not old and worn out which I appreciate. The only criticism I have is I wish they had a better short game facility. They do have a putting and a chipping green but the chipping green is small and in a confined area.
