(December 12, 2020, 12:56 pm)I've lived here for about 6 months, but I can ONLY say nice things about the property & especially the neighbors! People out walking their dogs will stop & talk with you, the other neighbors in this building are quiet & friendly & it's peaceful here at night time. VERY peaceful! Other reviews that complain about bugs crawling/flying around...hey, this is a wooded area fenced-in community & we live in *THEIR* territory so we're bound to see each other. Yeah, I've seen a few here, big deal. Just deal with it & move on. The sky is not falling!
Maintenance gets to my (few) requests within the same day or the next day. No arguing that. Times are tough for all of us right now, so be nice & they'll be nice. That's only fair, right?
(December 9, 2020, 10:51 am)I lived here for a year and was sad when I had to move a couple of months ago. It is a quaint little tree-filled oasis tucked off the main strip. I felt safe living here as a single young woman living alone. Maintenance responded to the few issues I had very quickly. The office staff will treat you like family. Some military families and young people do live here, so sometimes I could hear music playing at night, but that was really my only complaint during the entire year.
(February 11, 2020, 3:51 pm)I absolutely love Chelsea Apartments! My husband and I have been living here for over 3 years. It's a quiet and safe neighbourhood, almost tucked away. But still conveniently located close to Fort Eustis, the I-64, 7-11, and a quick drive down to historic Yorktown. The property managers are great to work with - Shelly and Jackie are an absolute delight! I've never had an issue with maintenance, work orders are handled quickly. It is a heavily wooded area, so you tend to see more insects around here. It's a trade off for the beautiful trees. Management is good to get your unit sprayed when needed. The price for the size of the units and location is a big plus! We're moving and haven't been able to find anything worth the value of Chelsea Apartments. I would highly recommend living here!
(May 8, 2019, 2:10 pm)I know apartment hunting is hard...trust me. But after looking everywhere, I can honestly tell you that I found my home. I moved in July 2018 and they made every experience great. I actually got recommended this place by a coworker and took his word for it. Everything was simple as it can be, I was shown around by Shellie (Best person in the word!) and then Jackie showed us a second time so my girlfriend could take a look at where I was staying at. The community is great and it feels so warm. I had no doubt that this was a safe area, it really is safe! Once I did all the paper work, everything was very accommodating and I got my place! This was my first apartment so it was a new experience, and I can't repeat this enough...this place is amazing. I love the wooded area and the quietness of how it is. Now granted, its by the train tracks BUT DO NOT let that discourage you from this place. My girlfriend who'd stay over even loves the back noise of it. You are minutes away from Food lion, and a bunch of food places around so if you get hungry YOU HAVE OPTIONS. Also cool benefit is you are super close by the entrance of the highway, so if you have a far job you can hop on and commute to work. I worked in Gloucester so that was a 30 minute drive...IF THAT, its super convenient. Williamsburg is only 18 minutes away too. This place is smack in the middle. I can go on and on about how great this place. Only reason why I am leaving is because I have a job opportunity in Norfolk and I want to be there in a timely matter...I wish I could pick up Chelsea at Lee Hall and bring them to where I work. I am sad to leave...really am, I wanted to have my family grow up around here. To anyone having thoughts about living here, you won't be disappointed.
