“I was on the way to Luray with my family when my whole dash lit up and smoke was coming out under the hood. I called Washington Motor Works and they took us in, it was Sunday 2pm and no business is usually open. Very professional and courteous. My car was running again after 2 hours and we made it to the caverns. I would recommend this place to anyone.”

“Allergen friendly! Gluten-free & dairy-free options A truly lovely inn with wonderful rooms and a gorgeous view. The chef makes outstanding breakfasts and is able to accommodate allergies. The second time we went here she'd been experimenting with gluten-free flour and dairy substitutes and made us a fantastic coffee cake that worked with my allergies. We will definitely be back!”

“Fairlea Farm’s bucolic setting and charming house made for a wonderful stay. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. The homemade breakfast was superb. All the recipes have been passed down in the family. In fact, Susan has a cookbook of her family’s recipe in the foyer for guests to view. If you’re planning on dinner at the Inn at Little Washington, be sure to talk to Walt prior to going. He has many great tips that will make for a memorable experience. From the farm, it’s a pleasant 10 walk to the Inn.”

“My girlfriend and I were looking for a short quick half-weekend getaway from DC at the last minute, and happened upon the Greenfield Inn the night before. Their reservation system worked flawlessly, and from the moment we arrived (a mere ~90 minute drive - a beautiful one - from DC) the entire experience was an absolute delight. The innkeepers were extremely kind and gracious, and the accommodations at the inn were beautiful yet practical. The house had a classic farmhouse design yet was quietly equipped with modern amenities (e.g., USB charging ports in the room, high-pressure shower, central air conditioning, etc.). Audrey and Al made wonderful recommendations and provided a delightful breakfast. Perhaps the most stunning feature of the experience was the gorgeous - and expansive - property on which the inn sits. It is an enormous farm with a cabal of animals (including horses and cows) that we were free to explore as we wished. Closer to the home, there are countless beautiful sitting areas to just enjoy the outdoors. I couldn't have envisioned a better experience than the one we had. We have already recommended the Greenfield Inn to numerous friends just a day after our visit, and we'll be planning our own returns visits as well.”

“We went to this park for an evening picnic on April 30. There were 80-100 in our group and we reserved the entire park as I understand it. There was a large variety of activity things for children of all ages to do. Skateboard ramps, corn hole, shuffleboard, different things to climb on, a swing set, nicely mowed playing fields with shade, a hiking trail that some people from our group used. We pretty much filled up the parking lot. The pavilion was large enough to accommodate our group very well. There were two average restrooms in the end of the pavilion. I saw a chimney thing in the center of the pavilion but didn't look at it too closely. I assumed it was for campfire cooking. I loved all the nice grass and tall trees everywhere! We brought our own blown up trampoline along for the evening.”

“When the toddler, dog, and wife couldn't quite make it of the way to the mountains, the visitors center was a godsend. For us it was a lovely spot for a picnic, pee stop, paw stretch, as well as a use destination for getting your bearings in the area. The adjacent horse stables were a big hit with the little guy. The kind lady in the visitor's center was so sweet and brought us out a cloth picnic table cover, really upscaling our Wawa lunch. Love the area and appreciate the hospitality.”

“I've been dealing with Eastwood's for the past 10 years. I've bought quite a few beautiful, healthy trees. They have a large and varied assortment of reasonably priced maples in all sizes, along with ginkos and conifers. The owners know their stuff and are more than willing to answer any questions. You couldn't ask for nicer people. I would encourage everyone to go to one of their open houses if only for the experience. You'll probably leave with a tree, or two.”
