Been twice, both times for lunch. First time I had meatloaf, mac & cheese, green beens and mashed potatoes. Mac & cheese was good. Didn't like the gravy and the green beans weren't seasoned well. Second time I got the cheesesteak sub, pretty good! And the sweet tea tasted just like my grandma made it. The owner and employees are always nice so that's always a plus
I ordered online and then went to pick my food up. The food was delicious, hot and tasted fresh. The potato salad was the only thing that I would've exchanged. It wasn't the worst I've had but wasn't the best either. It was a tad watery and gross. The rest of the food was bomb.com! The bread pudding for dessert was the best bread pudding ive ever had. I would definitely recommend eating from here. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Our meals were delicious. We got the liver and onions with collards and potatoes salad. Also ribs with sweet potato and collards. Made this stop on the way back to SC from DC and so glad we did. Very friendly staff and we decided to get dessert to go. When the owner realized we were from SC she even threw in an extra dessert. Thank you!
Oh everything was amazing. The staff was so sweet from the start! We got the crab cake sandwich and smothered pork chops. Huge portions and fairly priced. It was so good we couldn’t save any for later. I swear the cornbread was the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. I was so pleased to find out it’s only a short distance from my house so I’ll be frequenting this place. My partner and I have decided to make it a weekly thing. You have to try them!
