(February 15, 2017, 4:19 pm)We bought our 3 year old daughter the 14" Pello Romper and she was able to ride it on her own within minutes of getting on it!
Since we live in Richmond where Pello is headquartered, we went to the Pello warehouse to do a test ride before we bought the bike and were blown away by how quickly our daughter was able to assume control of the bike and take off on her own.
The components of the bike are excellent...very good hand grips, pedals, seat, and all of the other important parts that make a bike durable and high-quality.
In addition to the great components, the design is perfect for our daughter. She's totally in control of the bike and can turn it however she wants. She's still working on braking, so for now she just kind of crashes the bike and jumps off (and the bike has withstood all of her crashes!!!)
We highly recommend the Pello for anyone interested in getting their kid a bike that will last for a bunch of years and set them up to be a confident rider. We're totally happy with our purchase.
(January 26, 2017, 8:33 pm)Incredible customer service and exceptional product. When I first looked at the website I sent an inquiry about specs and if I could add pegs. I got a response from the founder the next day including a series of helpful links on how to customize for my child. I ordered two bikes because I have twin daughters, however they are different heights. The first bike I put together was straightforward and truly so light that my petite daughter would be able to carry it herself. Unfortunately, my lanky twin, was too tall for the same model. I emailed Pello to return the second bike and the process was courteous and beyond seamless. I still followed up with a final question about the airvalve, and got a timely response plus a link to help me see it in action! I wish they had bikes for adults, because the bike is light, eye catching and affordable. The customer service is like a personal boutique experience. Pello is wonderful!
