Wow! What a gorgeous park! Excellent hiking trail for folks wanting a good workout, while taking in a gorgeous, natural setting. Bicyclists and hikers play nicely together on this trail and it’s even dog friendly.
Good for trail running or finding a nice spot to chill on the bank of the river.
Great trail along the river. See Hollywood Cemetery, Maymont from the trail. Add a stop to the Pump House. Watch for bikers. Wear good shoes. Uneven terrain.
Nice walk. Be careful with the narrow paths and drops. Watch out for fur babies and protect your own. Beautiful is all around this place
Really nice trail! A little confusing at points but there was helpful signage at certain areas. The best part was walking along the riverbank and crossing on the pedestrian bridges, and it was really cool to meander by the old Tredegar Iron Works. I live in the Shenandoah Valley so I've hiked to Caroline Furnace, which is one of the sites that smelted the iron that was sent down the river to be worked on there. Really cool to see. It is a bit packed at points and there are a lot of bikes coming through, so I would suggest not using earbuds.
