“*EDIT We went back. I'll say our second experience was nothing like the first. Incredible service, great food, exaclty what I expected the first time. I genuinely had high hopes for this place. The food was just okay, for the amount of money we spent. Now the service is what ruined it for me. Our waiter was incredibly nice but this was not 4 or even 3 star service. He did not know what type of whisky was in half the drinks, forgot I had asked him for the check and the only time he came to check on us was when I had to flag him down, multiple times. **The kitchen manager was wonderful, they were out of lobster Mac but she went back in the kitchen and made some for us special and we agreed it was the best thing on the table** At the end of dinner the busboy took my food without asking if I needed a box and almost threw out my $30 crab cake, he actually managed to take my truffle fries and left before I could let him know I wanted to take them home. Then I had to ask for boxes without being offered them, they brought 3 boxes with two lids, so I had to ask for a lid. Then I realized they didn't give us a bag either so I had to ask for that as well. For a close to $300 tab I would go anywhere else.”

I am highly satisfied with the service that I get there they're representatives are always polite. Whether you are in town or just visiting you've got to stop in and try the baconator for sure. “My first foray into the cuisine of The Galley. My partner Donald was here when the space was smaller. Friday night, the place was hoppin! Very casual dining. Lots of families. I had the Galley Paella. Amazing! Under $20 with more mussels and shrimp than that money would buy. Add chicken, ham, and the other usual ingredients. Donald had the roast pork, black beans, and rice. More food than either of us could eat. Looking forward to coming back. The beautiful Francesca introduced us to this memorable dining experience.”

“The wife and I moved to Richmond from Fairfax Virginia in March 2020. We missed going to our favorite crab house, tried a couple of crab houses here and were very disappointed. Then we tried the crab hut and suddenly we could care less about our favorite crab house in Arlington Virginia. We ordered a dozen and a half of number one jimmies and waited as they were prepared. The owner and staff were friendly helpful and professional. The crabs we got were of superior quality. They were fresh, cooked to perfection and chock full of meat. The owner “Q” made you feel valued as a customer. I’m not sure but I think his helper was his son and he was obviously being taught about running a successful business by one of the best. “It’s cheaply priced neighborhood Chinese food! It’s good for those nights you don’t feel like cooking. Is it anything special? Not particularly, but that’s not why the majority of the customers go here. If you’re expecting phenomenal Chinese food, then go pay for it. This is just a good tasting neighborhood restaurant for the locals and it’s priced cheap enough. It’s right around the corner from my house and it tastes good enough for what I’m paying. “This was pretty good and you were served generous portions if food. I would have liked a bit more flavor in some of the foods but overall it was good. My only complaint was that the potato salad was sour tasting. I was good with the rest of the food but could have done without the potato salad. But this place is worth a try and if nothing else the portions will fill you up.”
