“S.A. Toler has been a pleasure to work with. They patched our leaking water main in Feb 2022 and came back to replace the entire line in Aug 2022. Each time they were responsive, courteous, did quality work, and did their best to restore the yard after the repair. After the replacement, there was an issue with the connection to the meter and they came out first thing Monday morning to fix the problem, including calling the county. Ellen and Scott were great and helped us out when it was needed. Would highly recommend!”

“Saint Stephen's Preschool is a very special school. My daughter completed the program in 2012 and my son is currently enrolled. The teachers are top notch and the program is amazing. The Montessori approach allows the students to learn from play and choices. This teaches them independence and a love for learning. When my child started kindergarten at a competitive private school, she was not only academically prepared, but also emotionally. She was secure in her new learning environment. I know the Saint Stephen's program instilled this in her. I'm so grateful to be going through the program again with my son. It is a joy to be part of such a wonderful school.”

“I am from San Diego, California, and lived in New Mexico and Texas before moving here. I am not sure if this is Mexican because they have a variety of foods from South America. Plantains aren't usually in Mexican food. I had the Desayuno Baliadas (three flour tacos with beans, cheese, egg, and plantains). It was good but very different and it may have been the plantains. Something in it was something I haven't had before. It was nice to try, but I don't know if I'd order it again for a long time. Maybe try it without the plantains. I also tried their Desayuno Pupusas (I think with scrambled eggs with pork) that comes with what I think is a seasoned cabbage. That was good, especially with the cabbage. It's like a hot pocket kind of. They were awesome and gave me lots of hot sauce, but unfortunately, it was not spicy and I did not care for it. It was overall a nice experience, but I don't think plantains are for me in my Mexican/South American food.”

“I came for brunch with my best friend a few days ago and it was absolutely delicious. The wait time for the food was long, but the food itself was delicious and you could tell they put effort into presentation and quality so it made me feel a little better about the time it took to get the food. I was disappointed that they had shrimp and grits on the menu, but the item itself was not available. I tried something new, the breakfast pastry, and really liked it ! The service was great as well and it was spacious enough so that we weren't sitting right up under someone else.”

“My son and I stopped by Dot's as I was visiting this particular part of Richmond and this was the closest restaurant to me. I had no idea Dot's was featured on the food network a while back but was pleasantly surprised. This locale has an interesting story and I encourage anyone visiting to read up on it before or while dining. Loved the older WW2 era photos! Our waitress (Danielle) was very pleasant. As this was my first time here, I asked her for a burger recommendation (they all sounded good). She suggested the Ultimate burger while my son got The Club. The food took about 15-20 minutes as there were several seated customers ahead of us. When the food arrived, the burger looked good but the fries (potato chunks) were overcooked. The burger (smash burger, yum,) was good, cooked as I asked. My son's club look really good to which commented after eating all of it that it had a good flavor. I mentioned to our waitress about the fries to which she apologized, stating she would notify the kitchen All in all, I feel like Dot's is a five-star location because of the history and TV publicity but I was disappointed by the fries (potato chunks). The kitchen allowing that food to be served to a customer was concerning. Considering how everything else was good, I will definitely return another and recommend to friends.”
