“I was on 95S traveling to Virginia Beach and experienced car problems and had to be towed to the nearest garage. We were quoted a price to replace the transmission that exceeded the value of the car. At this point we were contemplating donating it. Because we had a family member who previously worked for an AAMCO we decided to contact the nearest AAMCO at her recommendation. After speaking with the owner at length, he assured us that he could service the transmission for a fair and honest price. We were given an estimate, a time frame for the work to be completed and received a call describing optional work that needed to be done which we were aware of but had not yet addressed. We agreed and the work completed on time, for the price quoted, which was considerably less than any quote we received. The service was exceptional and my 2005 Honda Pilot runs better than it has in years. They renewed our faith in mechanics to do the right thing and at the right price. These guys are honest and professional and we would recommend them to anyone needing transmission work.”
