“I absolutely love this Home Depot ... I just moved from my beloved Colonial Williamsburg to Gloucester and just getting acquainted to all the stores on this side of the river ... I find their prices affordable and compatible to other similar stores ... Right now a lot of their Garden center plants are on sale ... Sis and I bought a very nice stainless steel kitchen work table and it was delivered yesterday Fed X ... I toured their Garden Center and am so pleased at all they have and not bad prices ... Can't wait until Spring because there will be so much more ... I am going to be 71 and my twin sis too on the 20th and I am old and gray ... but I had 4 young men that work at Home Depot ask me if I needed any help ... They were polite and courteous ... I was there right at opening so maybe I just got lu KY ... Most workers wear masks but there are no mask requirements to enter store nor are there anyone wiping shopping carts ... I do see hand sanitizer in main store ... I for one wish ALL stores still pursued safety first ... Any hoot ... It's a HUGE parking lot and 2 entrances ... 3 if you count the Garden Center when they are open ... It's a great location ... A bit tricky getting into their parking lot ... You enter the intersection where Chicken Filet is and turn just past Chicken Filet ... Drive straight until you get to the very last parking lot on you left and Home Depot being the LAST store on your left ... The several times I have been in there I have always been able to find a very helpful worker and they have even taken us right to what we were looking for ... “Bathroom drain was plugged. I tried my 15' snake and drain cleaner which did no good. This a 57 year old house and this drain has always been a problem. The guys came the same day and skilfully snaked out the drain. Initially their 30' snake was going up the vent, so they removed the trap to get in (smart move) which solved the problem and did an excellent job. Drain now flows freely. Charges were time and material which saved me money over big companies like Woodfin who only do flat rate. Personal service is appreciated and I will continue to use Herman W. Allen, Inc. “Today was the first time that I had ever visited this location, and the store seemed to be perhaps newer. It was definitely less crowded than some of the other stores that I have visited in the DC area, and I saw a slew of employees working in the isles and they all appeared to be eager to help out customers. I came here today with the intention of purchasing a padlock. I walked out with the lock, a paint brush, a wire brush, and a tube of caulk. I could have purchased much more and I usually do, but I've learned to be prepared with a list of items that I need. My usual purchases are lumber and paint. I did ask for help from an associate to help me locate the locks. He quickly looked up the isle and location, and there they were, right where they were supposed to be. I don't live close enough to become a regular customer at this particular store, but I did want to give them a shout out!”
