“Halls has the best fried chicken ANYWHERE! They have a terrific deli where they make home-cooked style food and it's fresh.This place has a great small town feel. Halls is owned by one family and you will find family members working there whenever you go. The service is excellent. The produce, meat and fish are pretty good. Because it is a small town place, you won't find the kinds of gourmet foods there are in city grocery stores. But the folks here are very helpful and will do their best to help you find what you need. I started to give this 4 stars but bumped it to 5 because, if you want a city-style grocery store... go to the city.”

“It was Christmas and we were driving through to visit family...at a koa cabin. Heat in cabin was terrible and we were pretty desperate to find a place open that sold space heaters...no staff on premises of the campground to help since it was Christmas. Family Dollar (sadly enough...but happily for us) was open and actually sold space heaters. Problem solved and the Family Dollar staff was wonderful..so helpful.”

“As far as Walmart's go this one isn't too bad. They keep it stocked and up to date. It was a great choice to add the self checkout since this Walmart never kept their staff with demand. They also added the pickup section for online orders which I haven't tried myself but hear is great. It can get busy around the holidays but is away enough from the normal hustle and bustle that you can still get in and out relatively easily.”

“Gilbert's Corner has a fabulous farmers market on Sat & Sun from 10am - 4pm. There are multiple food trucks and stalls with an impressive variety. The Pit Stop withbbq and pig roast draws in a large crowd. There's even a food truck for quesadillas. The BricknFire mobile brick-oven pizza looked very scrumptious! I wish I came here before going to Quattro Gumba, their sicilian pizza is too thick and dry. The neapolitan pizza at BricknFire looks so much better! Let's not forget dessert...there's an ice cream truck as well as a food stalls full of fresh French pastries. I really enjoyed the apple tart! Great pit stop for food especially before heading over to the wineries and distilleries in the area.”

Even then it was pretty busy, but I could get around and find what I needed and wanted. I just wish that there was an actual line open to purchase my items with a real cashier rather than the self check. I don't really trust the self check machines and I would rather have the human interaction.”
