(October 10, 2022, 3:58 pm)Beautiful spot to stop at, getting to the water is easy and lots of room to walk and play. Picnic tables make it even better to have a snack by the lake.
(August 17, 2022, 5:25 pm)We had a great time. The lake is very large, so even though there are power boats, they are far enough away from the swimming/floating area not to be a nuisance. Park staff were very helpful and friendly.

The water was cool and clean.. and the parking was free and there was plenty of it.. even with all the boaters!!Peeps with there trailers for boats.. and the lady who watches over things there, she came around and asked us if we needed trash bags which was way cool.. u don't see that at the parks around here!!! No BBQs provided at this park but I seen people with there own burning propane for some steaks and wieners... I will definitely be back to this park...

Cougar Park & Campground - Visit Mt St Helens
Boat ramp. 45 tent camping only sites. Group camping facility with 15 tent camping only sites and a covered picnic shelter with fireplace and sink. Swimming beach. Restrooms, showers and water provided. Open the Friday before Memorial Day until Labor Day. **The Cougar Park boat launch on Yale Reservoir is also currently closed due to low water.
