Good Cheer Food Bank

These guys are lifesavers!! Cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who run it, whom I believe are all volunteers. Recently opened up after renovation for in house shopping again. You are able to go in as many times as you like during the month as long as you have points left, and during the holiday months there are always Turkeys and everything else you'd need for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Their selection of produce in the summertime is so fantastic and they grow a lot of it on-site in their garden. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. I love this place. It's not like other community food banks. It's a garden growing fresh veggies, it's a sack lunch at the thrift stores that pay for the food bank and garden. It's an actually grocery store where I can pick out the things I eat and like. It gives you back your feeling of worth. They are always so helpful and patient and kind here to everyone. I honestly don't ever go to any other food bank now even if I'm starving I go to the Good Cheer where there place the people and their mission all truly fit their name.

I have watched and been a small part of the growth of this amazing service to our community. I have also used the Food Bank during a financial emergency. The staff and volunteers are gracious and loving, there to be of service to any of us that come in for help. I learned there is no shame in asking for help and I am forever grateful for help I was given. The Thrift stores are wonderful too as our community supports them generously. Cheerful and helpful staff, very clean and completely organized to make shopping for treasure even more fun. Thank you.

This innovative food bank is a life saver, the volunteers always make clients feel good. The selection is fabulous. There are free books for the kids to take or trade. Always have a cup a soup, the recipes are delicious.
