“I have used Ron's Red Barn RV Repair for a number of years now. I find Ron personally to be a very positive, "can do" individual with a high degree of integrity. I have owned a number of RV's over the years, and he has always had the answer for my "sticky" problems, and fixed them promptly, and thoroughly. I would recommend his service to anyone looking for honest, excellent service.”

“The entrance was a little difficult to find from the road, but once we turned in, it was a nice, clear drive with well-marked parking for horse trailers closer to the road and cars deeper in, on the north side of the lake. A discover pass or day pass is required for parking. Unfortunately, there is a possibility of toxic algae right now, so there is no lake access. The trails are clear, but not paved, so hiking up the hills and gaining elevation is not recommended for those with mobility issues. Near the entrance, however, there are flat trails that may be more accessible. I was disappointed with the provided map that may need to be updated and trail markings that are so worn they were not useful. That wide, it is a great park for some light-to-moderate hiking, even though we accidentally turned onto a different trail and ended up taking the higher route around the lake instead of meeting back up with the one we started on to just head back down the way we came 😂 As for wildlife, there were some red squirrels and a lot of small birds near the clearing of the grave site. As for plants, if you take the elevated trail that goes along the east side of the lake, you will be surrounded by what feels like an infinite fern forest, which I personally loved. The rock is also super cool to see. If you want to go to the rock sanctuary, it is not in the park, but there is a trail leading to it. I suggest you study a satellite image and get your bearings beforehand or go to the entrance for that trailhead.”

“We have stopped in just for the great cheese selection! It looks like a wonderful produce market and wine selection. Next time we stay the weekend we will do all our shopping here. Wonderful staff and found some Finn River ciders that I’ve only seen here. It makes sense as the cider is just across the street”

“April might be too early for most vegetables. We were surprised to find young Mizuna here. We made Mizuna salad the same night and it was very good. They had other vegetables there mainly for saute. We will go back to see if they have anything new.”

“If you thought small town warmth and hospitality no longer exist, you need to stop by Chimacum Cafe! The place was bustling when we arrived. But, we were immediately greeted by cheery staff and our waitress, Roxanne, could not have been friendlier or nicer! The restaurant had such a positive buzz to it, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. My husband ordered the Paul Bunyan special, a hamburger about 3x the size of a normal burger that he thoroughly enjoyed and took half home because he couldn't finish it! I ordered a garden burger that was so tasty! I had the Tollhouse pie for dessert, topped with ice cream thanks to input from Roxanne about this incredible taste combination. Wow! It was SO good - like a warm chocolate chip cookie with the chocolate on the verge of melting surrounded by a scrumptious crust and vanilla ice cream. It makes me happy just to relive that first bite...and all the rest! My husband loved his Marionberry pie. I'm so glad we decided to give this fantastic place a try. We will be back!”

“Such a sacred place and simply magical. Do yourself a favor and look up the history here before exploring. The trailhead parking is actually before where this lists it so keep that in mind. A great place to visit if you appreciate sacred places and wonderful geological formations. So, glad this area was preserved for the local tribe.”

“One of the many benefits of Escapees Membership is access to stay here. Beautiful, well maintained, spacious sites. They definitely take personal pride in each site. We didn't try the amenities but easy access to Seattle and Victoria (British Columbia) via the ferries are another benefit of this very quiet park. Great grocery store and gas station nearby in Chimacum.”

“I have felt at home and at peace here. This is a dedicated building to the Lord for the use of His people. I enjoy going on Sundays to worship with my neighbors and friends. I came to the area a few months ago and already feel welcome. I would highly recommend making a visit. The sign out front says visitors welcome, so come and see what it is like inside; Come and feel the power of God in the testimonies of the members; Come and Belong, find good friends and a community family.”
