James and Mark were great. I had an issue early on trying to get a date ASAP, for a job that requires ASES, James moved heaven and earth to get me a date in a timely manner. The instructor Mark was great. They were all down to earth yet very professional. I enjoyed the training throughly.
I highly recommend this school!
James is a stellar instructor that runs a tight ship and his business reflects the entertaining energy that he instructs with. If you enjoy dry and bantering humor of someone always telling jokes, you’ll really enjoy his teaching style.
Was able to get my commercial seaplane rating in about 5 days from start to end of check-ride. Their more than willing to work with your schedule. It’s worth it!
Really enjoyed my experience flying with the Seaplane Scenics Training Center! I was unable to make it to their base and they offered to pick me up at Lake Union. We then went for an hour flight around the area, practicing take-offs and landings. It was an amazing experience and the flight instruction was top notch. Would like recommend taking an intro flight to any experienced pilot to understand the differences between flying a single engine land vs. sea.
Had a great flight with Bob @ Seaplane Scenics - we were able to get a good amount of refresher training in and still managed to do some sightseeing around Seattle. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and professional, working around my crazy work schedule to make the flight happen. Looking forward to doing another flight with them on my next trip out to SEA.
My discovery flight was an amazing, memory-of-a-lifetime type experience - if you're looking at this, you should probably go ahead and book now.
I was in town visiting folks and had been saving up for a discovery flight for some time. The opportunity to jump into a seaplane for the adventure was an easy yes, and from the jump it was an excellent experience. Scheduling was a breeze (with lots of availability), and when we arrive at Wiley Post, James was there to greet us.
The flight itself was incredible. I was nervous times a hundred, and James was excellent about talking me through my nerves and providing support as needed. We cruised around and even modified our flight to overfly my parents' house, and then returned home for a smooth landing on Lake Washington, but not before buzzing by the stadiums and skyscrapers of downtown Seattle.
I only wish I still lived in Seattle so I could get my flight training with Seaplane Scenics. Seriously.
