I love old school, diner feel places! It's exactly what you'd expect, for both food and atmosphere. The server must have been busy though, she didn't clean the area properly before seating us, forgot my OJ, and we had no utensils until we asked after the food was on the table. But she was still very sweet and it was a fun breakfast.
Stepping into this diner feels like stepping back in time. Servers were friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the “breakfast all day” menu and got the cheese blintzes. Sometimes, restaurants make their blintzes too sweet and full of sugar, but these seemed very traditional. The filling had just a hint of sweetness and they were served with sour cream. My boyfriend’s club sandwich was good as well.
Had some amazing fresh squeezed OJ here at breakfast yesterday. Their pancakes are amazing and the blueberry compote so good. Yum yum yum. I don’t recommend the coffee personally or the savory items I tried. Both the omelet and the hash browns were meh.
I ordered the coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, and the German pancake with lemon sauce. No regrets!
The whole vibe of the place is your local small town diner with friendly staff. Loved it!
We HIGHLY recommend the Pancake Chief. I just had sourdough pancakes made with 63-year-old starter. Delicious! The eggs were also delicious and my husband really liked his pork chop. Blueberries on the side and coffee in carafes 👍.
